Do u think?...... That because of the way a woman dresses that determines the kind of person she is?
Do u think that if she dresses provocatively that gives someone the right to stare at her or oogle her? Does it give someone the right to treat her a certain way?

The lower the cleavage, the more she wants to be noticed.

Ex-Moderator | I think the way a person dresses does say something about them.
And if you're dressed in next to nothing, folks are gonna take a peak. It does not give anyone the "right" to. But it's gonna happen. And it most certainly does not give anyone the "right" to treat them any differently than anyone else. But I think people will react to you in a diffrent way than if you're wearing a more 'conservative' outfit. |

This may sound shallow, but if it is provocative, you should expect to be stared at. Don't fault others. Does that give them the right to treat you like a piece of meat? Probably not. But yeah, if one is going to dress in such a way, they shouldn't get mad when people look. They're obviously doing it for the attention. And I don't want to hear the old "oh, I do it because I like it" line. I'm no shrink, but I am intelligent enough to know they want the attention, no matter what they may say to the contrary.

I think it's natural to check people out. I love to people watch. And I think you can tell a bit about someone by the way they dress, but you obviously can't tell everything. |

When i wear a low cut top, i certainly know i will get looks. he told me a story of a very pregnant woman wearing a tiny skirt and halter top,she was on the phone complaining loudly that she doesn't want people looking at her

I ring-in like alot of others, The dress doesn't tell you alot about the person, she may be a very quiet or shy person who may be just dressed for an occsion (cocktail party or her others special day). So the dres does not necessarillu dtermine the personality.
When a woman is showing off her assetts it hard for man not to notice or take an extened look...oogling is way too much but men will take long drink of the vision. It is pretty common knowledge that men are visual creatures. The thing is women know that men are visual and they are well aware if the outfit is provacative or not, then they get upset when men give them attention. And if they didn't get the attention they would end up thinking that somehting was wrong. Some women can't get a break regardless, (large breated or hippy w/ass) they have a real hard time not showning the curves they have and I can emithize w/the frustration that they must feel. I just take issue with the ones who wear a button down shirt with the top 4/5 buttons undone exposing the new push-up from vickys that complains about guys noticing their cleavage. It's all about where the attention is coming from. Reminds me of that Chris Rock joke where he talks about how a woman will scream "sexual harassment" when she is getting unwanted attention from a man, but - with the exact same behaviour - she will say, "Oh, Denzel - you naughty!" If I recall correctly, the punchline was, "So, what's sexual harassment? When an ugly man tries to get some?" [Edited 8/11/05 17:24pm]

i hate when a woman wears a t-shirt with writing on it, and when someone tries to read it they're all like "MASHER! TAKE BACK THE NIGHT!"
don't print the damn first chapter of middlemarch on your chest and people won't look at your rack, shit.

I find this especially ironic when the writing says "CHECK-OUT MY RACK!"

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck...it's probably a duck. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

Sometimes. It all depends. U dont wanna come up 2 the wrong person and say the wrong thing. Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

Agreed. You've made a valid point. It's not always wise to assume or judge the book by its cover.

I find this especially ironic when the writing says "CHECK-OUT MY RACK!" I despise those "attitude" t-shirts too. You shouldn't have to advertise that you're a "Bad Girl", "princess" or "hottie", imo. A line has to be really clever/funny for me to wear a shirt with writing on it. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)
