Kirk and Michael Douglas I saw this special on HBO last night about Kirk and Michael Douglas...describing their careers and how Michael Douglas always felt like he was in his father's shadow regarding his acting career. Once he won the Oscar for "Wall Street" then he felt that he had finally overcome that feeling he had.
It also shows different clips of the movies that Kirk Douglas was in and movies that Michael Douglas was in. They talk about their personal lives and their family also. Judging from the clips, Kirk Douglas is the better actor...he reminds me of that old classic Brando era in which he was in back in the day... I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I think that as with a lot of film stars, it depends on the type of role they are in. I don't really consider either to be outstanding actors, but sometimes you get a bloody good film and it raises their performance. Point in case, Michael Douglas in "Falling Down" (1992). Good film!
