I personally think that the show was one of the best shows that has ever been on television. It is hard to pick the best episode, but I do like certain shows more then others.

The episode, where Elvin tries to ask Sondra to marry him is a great one. The one where the Huxtable clan try to play a trick on Cliff. Fun stuff.

What is everyone's fave episode? Does anyone actually hate the show?

The one where Bill Cosby tells the kids an amusing story.

The one where Bill gets caught drugging a chick after lecturing Theo about the importance of fidelity in marriage.

Or..... the one where Bill gets caught by the customs with 50 grands worth of coke up his arse, only to get put in jail to find his wife also locked up for being a hooker. God how i laughed.

That one where Bill slaps effs and Ace.

My favorite episode is the final season premiere, where Vanessa brings Dabnes Brickey home from college. Sure, a re-tread storyline from Denise 2 seasons prior, but much funnier.

-"You mean to tell me that your parents already know?"

-"Oh yeah, They Luuuuv 'Nessa!"

Probably the last funny episode of the entire series.

the one when the kids think clair is going through menopause that scene she does in the kitchen is SO FREAKING FUNNY !!!!

well, and any other one where clair is yelling at the kids everytime she gets really pissed, like the one when vanessa was at the concert across town i just laugh till i cry.... shes really very good in that show

i also like the one when vanessa and her friends get drunk

also, i really enjoy the relationship that clair and cliff have... they have always been so romantic with each other

My favorite Episode had to be the one where they had the barbeque in the backyard and the three couples started fighting because Theo and Elvin wanted to throw Martin a stag party and he didn't object strong enough to Denise's liking.

My 5 favorite episodes are:


#1: When Rudy babysits Olivia and they watch a movie about vampire wolves and then they get scared and think the vampirewolves are on the roof. So, they barricade themselves in Clair and Cliff's bedroom. When C and C come home Cliffs says of Olivia, who has wooden utensils on her chest:

Cliff: "Ah, she's gotta little cross made out of a spoon and a fork."
Claire: "Why is Rudy holding that piece of meat?"
Cliff: "Don't you understand dear, that's the steak to drive through the vampire's heart."


#2: When Rudy and Vanessa are in a phase where they despise each other. They fight and make digs all day. My favorite is when Rudy tells Vanessa she has no manners:

Rudy:"In fact, if you had better manners, you might have a boyfriend right now. But you DO NOT."


#3: When Cliff and Claire get mad, won't talk to each other and fight. I swear Claire was my idol. So beautiful, graceful, and sophisticated.

#4: When Theo moves out to live with Justine.
#5 When Theo cheats on Justine with the drama student at college. I swear Vanessa Williams (not her, the other one) is so great in this episode. "And if TRUTH... shall be my salvation and the flames! So be it!"



Actually I liked all of Theo's college friends and episodes. Especially when he threw a party, oh sorry, "colliquy," at the house and they broke a lot of shit.

It was so great to see intelligent black folks like I know.

This is one of my favorite shows of all time (along with Designing Women). I was thankful to see a middle class black family I could relate to.

When people started criticizing the show saying it wasn't realistic, I honestly had no idea what they were talking about. Where have they been where middle class black families don't exist. I grew up around middle class folks and I was glad to see something beside shuffling folks on T.V.

When they added Pam and her annoying friends, I stopped watching.


Oh, here are two HONORABLE MENTIONS:

* When Kristoff St. John guest starred as Lisa Bonet's boyfriend who made straight A's but didn't believe in school, questioned how Cliff could be a doctor and overcharge sick folks, and he lit into Claire about being a lawyer too. It was so funny. Claire eventually told him off.

* When Sandra informs Claire she's not going to law school and Alvin says he's not going to med school. They are going to open a wilderness store . As you remember, Claire wanted her tuition money back NOW !

When Theo does a drive-by with Cockroach and Theo ends up shooting coackroach in the head by accident; Claire get busted for laundering the Gotti-like mob family; Mr. Jello Pudding Pop himself gets indicted for unethical practices after he gives a woman a papsmear with his tongue; Denise gets caught giving Vanessa's boyfriend, Robert, a blow job in the kitchen; Vanessa gets Chlamydia from Cockroach and Cockroach got it from Theo; Olivia and Rudy get "curious" about their bodies with one another.

I can't see why that one never aired though.

Today they showed the one where Rudy wanted to wear that dress to her friend's party and Clair wouldn't let her because it was too cold out. I'm gonna lose it if they show that episode one more time....really. To be honest though.....I can't really watch the Cosby Show like I used to. It's the same with all shows that I grew up watching religiously.....I just don't have enjoy them like I used to.
