Does anyone remember Marathon candy?

I think there's a candy bar that Snickers put out called Marathon but I am talking about the candy bar that was out like 25 years ago. It was a long chocolate and caramel number that, when you bit into the thing stretched like 5 feet. It was a weird shaped candy bar, kinda like a rope or something with holes in it. I know this existed, didn't it? I think I read somewhere they discontinued it. Bummer, I loved those things.

You're surely talking about Curly Wurlys - fuckin ace I might add.

Although stretching them to five feet is surely just greedy! wink

Indeed.

Although it wasn't woven - using a needle to make chocolate is left to the likes of Mr Wonka and his band of Lumpas.

In other news - the best old chocolate bar was the Double Decker. It may still be going, but I have subsequently gone off it - but as a wee nipper nowt touched the mighty Decker! razz

It was woven...I didn't imagine it. I just thought I hallucinated it from my childhood.

I remember Marathon candybars. They were a lot like Curly Wurlys exceept the chocolate was a little harder. Still really good though.

I love those things! They're so hard to find anymore, though! When I was a child you could buy them for a penny each!
