For all you computer smarty pants people

I have an apple mac mini ipod. When my freind set it up for me she showed me all about how to use it. Ok... so I figured out and remember how to add music to my itunes libary. But for some reason I dont remember how to actually physically add the music from the libary into my ipod. All help will be much appericated for those of you that know. Thanks.

When you plug your ipod into your computer, an ipod icon should appear in iTunes' "source" window. Simply click and drag songs from the library onto the icon and the songs should copy to the ipod.

Thank you... now one other quick question if you know. How do I delete the songs off of the ipod?

click on the ipod icon and its contents should appear in the main window. From the "edit" drop down menu, hightligh and click "select all," all the ipods songs should be highlighted. From the "edit" dropdown menu, select "clear."

you can also delete single songs by clicking on the song name in the main menu and and selecting "clear" from the "edit" dropdown menu.

1. Yes, when you clear songs from the ipod, it will only remove them from the ipod.

2. Yes, there is a way to remove songs from your itunes library but not from your computer, but I don't remember how.

3. You can tell how much space you have on your ipod by clicking on the ipod icon (with the ipod connected) and looking at the bottom center of the itunes screen. On one side of a horizontal bar graphic there is text that says "used: ###" On the other side of the bar, the text says "free:###" The number after "free:" is the amount of free space on the ipod.
