Shit I was excited for a minute because I thought this was going to be a marathoning thread because there is a marathon there called "Big Sur" that is considered amongst the most beautiful in America and is definately on my to do list.

You guys went to the Redwoods! That place is amazing. I have never seen trees so large in my entire life. That place is magical.

Oooh! You are SO lucky! When I was in California earlier this year, I wanted to go there so badly but didn't have the time.

The author Jack Kerouac spent some time there. SF Poet Laureate Lawrence Ferlinghetti let Kerouac stay and write in a little shack he had by the shore, and it was there that Kerouac suffered a nervous breakdown which is chronicled in his novel "Big Sur."

It looks so beautiful.
