Haven't seen it yet, it's right under Last Days on my list. Was it really all that good? Or is it kinda like Lost in Translation? Not that I didn't enjoy Lost in...but is it more of the same? Ya know, middle aged weepy guy , mopes around and looks for the point where his life turned to shit. If it is I'll wait for the DVD. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

Well, it's another Jim Jarmusch film and falls into place with all his other films, though it's a little deeper and personal. I happen to  and adore almost all his films so I'm not an objective opinion here. But I might like this one the best, which says a lot. And yes, it's a lot like Lost in Translation. | |

When i was in the eleventh grade, I took chemistry. we had liquid nitrogen day, and we all brought in various objects such as rubber duckies and roses. then we dipped that shit in there and threw the objects at the wall and shattered them.

That's the only drawback to the film, is that Sofia Coppola got to Bill Murray first. He's a perfect candidate for a Jarmusch film, but it's too close to his performance in Lost In Translation. The film as a whole is still a fine work of art though. I love movies with no plot where no questions are answered and you're simply left staring at the moon, so to speak. | |

I tried to go see this Friday, but there's this lame-o art festival (craft festival is more appropriate) that makes driving in Uptown a pain in the ass, so I didn't get to see it. I will go during the week instead. Though I'm not sold on Bill Murray as the great thesp he's made out to be these days, I did love him in Lost in Translation. I'm looking forward to this one, because it's got some amazing actresses in it. | |
