My class reunion...ONE NEW PIC! Edit: I was able to get a better pic of my obnoxious dress!
Sooo I went to my 10 yr reunion this past weekend and I have to say that I had a lot of fun!! I was stressing over it for a little bit but I'm glad I went. Everyone I wanted to see was there. Nobody was catty or boasting about themselves which was nice. Everyone was just happy to see each other again. The girls looked GREAT, the boys got fat! I couldn't believe it! Here's a couple pictures from the night. The first one of me isn't too flattering because I wasn't standing up straight and my dress had a flare to it. So I look like a heffa! There was blue chiffon under it and on the other side was a blue flower that pinned up the polka dot part showing the blue underneath. I wish I got a picture of my shoes cuz they were the best part, until they left me with 3 huge blisters but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. So if anyone is debating whether or not they should go to their reunion...just go! You can always leave if it sucks! [Edited 8/4/05 6:08am] [Edited 8/4/05 6:10am]

You don't need it. Actually, nobody does. Anyway, had anyone changed drastically in any way or were they pretty much the same? Did the same people that used to be friends back then hang out at the party too or were there new groups? Just curious.

You couldn't PAY me to go to a class reunion. Of course, I'm only in my second year of having graduated, but still.
I once saw this girl called Lacey in a store last fall. We never spoke in school. She was stupid so I wouldn't have wanted to, anyway. She came up and said "hello" as if we had been friends at some point instead of merely stuck going to the same institution. At any rate, my only response was, "I didn't like you six months ago when we were in school. I do not like or care about you now. Please refrain from talking to me ever again, should we see one another. Thank you." I should be nicer, I think, but really... Insatiable taught me everything I know about balls.

I didn't like everyone 10yrs ago either but that was highschool and people grow. It was nice to see everyone.

Some lost massive amounts of weight and looked fabulous. This was even after having children. All the highschool sweethearts have been married at least 5 years which was kinda nice to see. And they all have babies now. But nobody has changed drastically except for Anne Marie Young, she was a little nerd in highschool and now she looks like a porn star!

i have nightmares about reunions sometimes
they always end with me trying to drown an unnamed former classmate in the toilet Jeez, and I was so freakin popular back in school. one would think I'd liked people a bit more because of that. but nope, I hated it back than and I still hate to even think of it now. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

And this is in Boston? Sounds more like a small town thing. But nobody has changed drastically except for Anne Marie Young, she was a little nerd in highschool and now she looks like a porn star!

I went to my 10 year reunion. I was somewhat disappointed. Some people I used to hang out with were not there. Some people look the same and others have changed. It was boring. Dig up a "before" picture and post it along with the "after" pic. No, it wasn't Boston. A city south of Boston. I don't have any before photos of her other than whats in the yearbook. I had some classes with her but we didn't hang out or anything. She looks fabulous now. She told me that she hit puberty when she turned 25! hahahaha

'Cause, I mean, if this is all the growing my boobs are gonna do, we're gonna have some serious problems...

Glad you had a good time. I missed my 10 year and planned to have a blast at my 20 year last year. What a let down. Food sucked, dj sucked ( nobody danced), people had their clicks and some of my pals weren't even there. Stayed for 5 hrs and should have left after 3. Alot of fat-grey-bald guys and some homely girls. Oh a few looked pretty nice but you could tell who had alittle work done. Nothing happened to remember and the best part was going out to Denny's for breakfast at 1:00 am.
I have no interest in attending another one of those. $130 for my wife and I for food and drinks and I don't even drink. [Edited 8/3/05 8:03am] "

It looks like fun. I'm not sure I want to meet some of the people I went to school with, they have probably changed though. But still, you tend to remember them as they were then and probably always will, (maybe)

That's what I thought too. I really only wanted to see maybe 3-4 people and was forced to go to this. But much to my surprise everyone was really cool and happy to see me.

I went to my 10 year a few years back, and found myself enjoying it as well. It's good to see the people you like, and good to find the ones you didn't have grown up. If you find you still detest some of those people, then you can at least laugh at how fat & bald they now are!
Glad you had a great time, Carrie! Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Glad you had a great time, Carrie! I was shocked to see how many guys went bald. The girls definitely looked better than the guys.

I am not attending my 20 year reunion. I can't believe I'm having my 20th. Eeek. I went to a school that had 5000 students. With my luck all the people that will attend will be the 4887 that I didn't know.

I don't think I'd ever go to a reunion. Hated high school, disliked most of the people there, so fuck it.

I didn't attend my 10th year and doubt it that I will attend my 15th reunion neither. [Edited 8/3/05 10:01am]

That's what I thought too. I really only wanted to see maybe 3-4 people and was forced to go to this. But much to my surprise everyone was really cool and happy to see me. Carrie, my high school was a girls school and there was quite a lot of bitchiness, I'm not saying guys cant be bitchy because they can but in a mixed school the tension is somewhat diffused as guys goof around and it can be a distraction for the girls. At my school we didn't have that. Some of the girls were cool you know and I made some good friends but I could count them on one hand and I've mostly lost touch with them which is a shame. It sounds like you had fun, you're probably glad you went and was pleasantly surprised. I know that I have changed since school and I can imagine that they have too. The good thing about my school was that we didn't fight over boys. but the negative thing was that the girls would argue over the most weird things. I have some good and bad memories I guess. btw, you look very pretty as always
