lol Hell, if I knew that, I'd be doin' it, too... wink

Try standin' next to Dex...he'll make everyone look puny by comparison. Or better, just say "fuck it" and realize you're rather beautiful (I've seen pics, so don't bullshit me about it) even if you're not the skinniest one there. Concentrate on laughing, and eating and drinking...LOTS of drinking...lol...enjoy this event, and don't worry about the camera.

Why do you answer a question with a question?

Why do you not fully answer a question?

Why must you make my second guess myself? Maybe I am not a stable person?

I'll not tell your husband, Bob. AS long as what you do to me is good.

Why is Bob my favorite person? Ahintofgreen is awesome.

Cuz he feeds your needs and keeps you from having to concentrate on your issues...that'd be my guess.

1) To make you think...and come up with your own answers so you won't have to keep asking others to do your thinking for you.

2) I do fully answer questions...if I didn't, my answers would look like "That's because when there's"

THAT is a question not fully answered.

3) You have a problem with second guessing yourself? Is there some need within you to always be right immediately, to the point that you need no further input from anyone whatsoever?

If Bob has a penis, he's male. Again, you could have looked that shit up in an encyclopedia.

You just assumed the name Bob was for a male. You know what they say about assuming. Then again I think you just assumed to much. I do not need an encyclopedia to determine what sex I am. I can clearly look at my chest and between my legs and tell you I am far from being male.

I resent your remark that just because someone has the Bob name means they are male. Could it be short be something? Or, perhaps a nickname given by a dear friend?

If you read again, I never said you needed an encyclopedia to know what sex you are...I just said that my answer could be found in an encyclopedia, and thus you didn't have to ask me. Big difference.

As for assuming you're male, if it bothers you THAT much, then some serious introspection is needed...Bob could stand for many things...but 99.99999% of the time it stands as a short form of "Robert". Being bothered that someone you don't know didn't take that .000001% into account shouldn't effect you this much. Think about that.

and to re-direct this thread...

byron, do you have any study methods that have really worked? i'd like to pull up my GPA this coming semester.

Look up Dominic Obrien's memory CDs or Kevin Troudeaux's mega-memory.

It's alot of hype, but it also works.

I can spit out luandry lists of 50 different items in the same order from 6 months ago.

It's really kind of amazing.

But since this is Byron's thread, here's my question:

At 33, should I be thinking about marriage? Most people say "yes", but I have a hard time committing to the same laundry detergent two times in a row, let alone spending the rest of my life slowly being killed by that special someone. shrug

You are correct... no need throwing numbers or percentages around b/c no one really cares what percentages of people know Bob is short for Robert. For general information, my name is Robert... Nero calls me Bob. For the record.. don't assume that every time the name Bob is mentioned they are male. It is just a like the name Jordan... male/female? Just don't assume much more and just call me Robert... nice to meet you Byron.

1st answer, in response to your answer..lol...studying is more than memorization. Or at least it should be. No idea what those methods are you mentioned, so they could very well deal with interpretation and understanding on a deeper level as well...plus, she may be having troubles in a subject like Algebra or Calculus, which is more analytical than "factual"...

To your question...you only "think about marriage" when you've found that someone who connects with you on a spiritual, emotional, intellectual, and sexual way unlike anyone else you've ever been with...when you can so easily imagine yourself with this person 20 years down the road and being as at peace and content as you feel each moment you lay in their arms, or they in yours. Age shouldn't dictate squat. Better to find that beautiful connection at 40 than to settle for something less at 35.

Hey, I said upfront that this is no-nonsense, no sugarcoating advice...straightforward. Can't come in expecting anything else. You were called "Bob", I assumed you were male...you should understand why that is and realize it's a logical assumption to make. If you didn't want to do that, it's not because of anything I did...and I'll stick with the assumption that people named "Bob" are most likely male, leaving it to them to correct me if need be, and without attitude, cuz none is warranted.

Of course I did...I don't know you. How would I know otherwise??

Like I said, when logic is applied, everything is explained. Byron doesn't know me, so he has to assume the basics...that "Bob" means I'm male, and that my tone towards him is how I am when I'm wanting to give attitude. Makes sense.

How old is he again??...If he's under 18, then you have every freakin' right in the world to not like it. In fact, why are you letting them go away to another country in the first place??...

You're redirecting feelings you have about yourself towards those who bring them out in you...Also you are deliberately sabotaging your healthier relationships out of a possible fear of future loss. Whatever it is, remember that anger isn't an emotion, it's a mask which hides the real emotions you're feeling (hurt, fear, insecurity, etc).

Now if you're talking "mean" as in pulling the wings off of butterflies, then you're just psycho.
