Not really doing anything...I never do. For the most part, my birthday tended to go unnoticed and unacknowledged, even while I was married. My ex-wife would forget my birthday all the time, then remember it two days afterwards...and then laugh about it. "You're birthday was yesterday? omg, I completely forgot!!..Hahahaha!!" 
Needless to say, that (among way too many other incidents) just had me cringing everytime my birthday came around...I'd think that those closest to me would always remember and acknowledge the date I came into being...but it grew to start feeling like I don't really register with too many people when it comes to that. My family...well, they remember, but I get a few cards like a week afterwards...my mom will call me at least. *smile*..But, I love my family no matter what, and they're the most beautiful people/souls I could have been blessed to surround me. So acknowledging it a week late is overlooked in my eyes and heart. But with friends and relationships...it's far more likely that my birthday will come and go without really effecting them too much. And pretty much every year, I'm never let down in being reminded that. But I will say that having a thread like this helps...*smile*...and I appreciate Natisse's desire to create it far more than she, or anyone, knows.
As for my actual birthday, I'll probably take my daughter out to dinner...she always remembers.  | |
