THREE THREE THREE & The WILD DOGS

I have this dream that constantly happens. I'm trying to get somewhere, and I never remember the destination. I walk a paved road (normally a two lane highway in summer along a wooded hill like area).

I always come across a small town or temperary location where there are sometimes people there, and sometimes not. But there are always large dogs lingering around. They don't notice me at first.

But, I panic, thinking the dogs will catch my scent and pursue me. So I take off running, but sort of hunkered down and as much out of sight of the dogs as possible.

I run as quickly as I can often, backtrackng for miles before catching the trail, the entire time feeling as if I'm being pursued by these dogs.

Sometimes I run into other animals. Last night, while running from the dogs, I came across a cluster of trees under wich small kittens were hidding from the summer sun--these cats were not friendly either.

I always wakeup from these dreams with no erection.

Also, lately, in my waking hours, I keep seeing the number 333 all the time.
I see it in posts on the org (333 reviewed posts, etc.), I see it on clocks, I see it in change at the counter-- you name it, I always see 333.

Someone explain. (and not 2the9s)

Dogs in the dream world are primarily a symbol of the inner relationship between you and your animal nature. They also symbolize your feelings about situations, conditions and interaction with others. They generally symbolize male energy but dreaming of a female dog may symbolize female energy within the context of your dream.

Look back in your own real life for your encounters with dogs. This is probably the most important factor in how you feel about dogs, and how they appear in your dreams. Were they feral creatures with sharp teeth? Were you attacked by one at some point? Were they loyal friends that were always there for you? That basic concept you have in your head about a dog can help define its primary meaning in your dream.

How is the dog acting towards you in your dream? Is he loyal and guarding you? Is he hostile and threatening? The way in which the dog is acting indicates how the situation is going between you and that person. It might be your partner, it might be your best friend or someone else close to you.

Is the dog being helpful, hanging out with you, staying by your side? If so that is a great sign that you are happy with the relationship and have found a healthy level of trust in it.

Is the dog nervous and straining at the end of a leash? You may be at the end of your rope with a problem or relationship.

Is the dog obsessed with following a scent? Perhaps there is something just under your nose that you are missing. Work on increasing your awareness of people and in situations. One reader shared that to them, dogs symbolize the libido. This personal meaning makes sense since dogs are, shall we say, "indiscriminately affectionate." Male dogs will attempt to mate with dogs half or twice their own size and sometimes even get a bit frisky with humans! When a dog is focused on mating, just try talking to him about anything else...you may have to hose him down to get his attention. In some parts of the country, unfaithful, womanizing or "loose" men are referred to as "dogs." We all know the term for a female dog in heat, and this term is also sometimes applied to "frisky" women.

Dogs guard the realm between physical life and the underworld. In ancient myth, dogs symbolize the devouring aspects of death as well as being a protective and healing escort into the spiritual realm. As such, dogs sometimes appear in dreams of bereavement. One of the symbols of the goddess Hekate is a black dog. Hekate is a mother goddess associated with crossroads.

omg
I once had a dream about comforting somebody that I knew.
This person had died in real life, and in the dream the came back to me as a little black dog.
And I hugged the dog to comfort it and awoke with a profound sense of longing to see that person again.

In the dreamworld, cats symbolize instinct, intuition, stealth and feminine sexuality. Cats have amazing physical abilities, able to jump or leap long distances. They can run with great speed, even through an obstacle course without disturbing a thing. It is said that they always land on their feet, and they often do. Cats sit or stand as still as a statue and be as quiet as one. Their instinct is fine-tuned and they can sense a storm hours before it arrives.

Animals in dreams represnt the instinctive side of our nature. A cat expresses feminine qualities and the positive, sensuous, creative aspects of femininity.
Your dream cat may be telling you to tread softly, trust your intuition and scope out the situation before you pounce. It is said that cats have nine lives. Perhaps your dream cat is telling you not to fear failure because there's always another chance. Are you dealing with a conflict? The cat may be asking you to be aware of whether you are taking on a "catty" attitude.

If you are male, the cat may represent a female in your life. Cats represent the female side of the personality, the anima. If the cat is aggressive, it may indicate that you are having problems dealing with this side of yourself or that you have a negative attitude toward women in general. Is the cat scratching, biting, hissing? Is it shy, but friendly? Is it cuddling on your lap? How do you respond to the cat? Cats give affection on their own terms. Have you met a woman with that type of personality, or are you involved with one?

Those uncanny physical abilities sometimes get cats into trouble. Is your dream cat stuck in a high tree? You may be feeling stranded and in need of rescue.

Most importantly, what do cats symbolize for you? All dream symbols have personal meaning. Are you afraid of cats? Do you dislke them? Do you love them? Why? What is their role in your life? Ask yourself these questions to determine their meaning in your dream.
