Not sure how it's measured, but here's a few tips:


1) If you're attractive, post a picture.
2) Be funny and make fun of others.
3) Be mysterious and never post a pic or really any identifying info about yourself. (Caution: This only works if you're charismatic and/or hilarious. Otherwise, it's org suicide.)
4) Befriend an already popular orger. Jack threads with them incessantly.
5) Spend years on the org posting mostly boring drivel but enough times a day that everyone recognizes your name (this is my preferred route. )

I think popularity is determined by impact, and that, in turn, comes in several ways...

Sheer number or frequency of posts; the poignance, intelligence, originality, fun-factor or offensiveness of posts; or just plain-old personality (some people don't post much, but have such a cool "cyber air.") Still, other people -- as in most areas of life -- get over on looks.

The goal is to be like me: blessed with mastery of all qualities.
