Lately, I've been on the bottled water kick and it's quite liberating. You should try the different flavored water b/c when chilled it fills you up fast. This is how I have been able to maintain my ideal weight.

interesting. i'm trying to get back on my yerba mate kick - it's great because it gives me energy without giving me the caffeine jitters, it's full of vitamins, and it's an appetite suppressant as well. when i drink this stuff regularly, the weight goes way down. nod

yerba mate is a variety of south american tea that has all kinds of crazy healthy qualities. traditionally you're supposed to drink it out of a cured gourd with a little bamboo straw called a bombilla, but i bypass all that and just make it in a french press and drink it in a big ol' mug.

i've never been to a wild oat's, though i noticed TJs has started carrying yerba mate in teabags recently. i'd hold out and get the bulk stuff if you have a bulk coffee store nearby, i think it would be far more potent.

I don't drink much pop. Can't stand the taste of the diet stuff, that icky aftertaste.

Just cut down on your intake, drink juice or water.

I've cut down,I may have a soda once a month.
I never drank soda when I was a kid but that changed when I went to college, all the soda machines.
The reason I cut out soda is because one morning I saw an obese lady drinking a 2 liter in her car at 6:30 in the morning. disbelief
I can just imagine how many more liters she had that day.

I gave up soda over ten years ago. I kinda OD'd on it in college. That was when I decided never again. Juice and water are much better.

I allow myself a soda twice a month cos let's face it, it tastes goooood! But any other time I drink water and juice (grapefruit). Makes a difference when u r trying to lose weight. My skin is alot better for it also.

I don't even think soda tastes good. All that carbonation just burns. I'd much rather drink some sort of exotic fruit punch.
