You forgot M - The More The Merrier (1943) cool

that's cheating...I think my Man Godfey is a superior film though. ever see the flick The Ex-Mrs. Bradford, quite lame. Jean is more the proletariat actress, I don't like her in society roles.

Yeah, she wasn't a good replacement for Myrna Loy. Her best roles were as working girls nod I was going to put Easy Living on my list, but decided against it ultimately. That is the quintessential Jean role.

Great cast in that one, I love Edward Arnold.

my E selection was between

Eve's Bayou (1997)
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982)
Ed Wood (1994)
Edward Scissorhands (1990)
The Elephant Man (1980)
Empire of the Sun (1987)
Enemy of the State (1998)
Enter the Dragon (1973)
Europa Europa (1990)
Evergreen (1934)
Eyes Wide Shut (1999)

Is that were the Julie Delpy obsession began? lol

Hedy, one of the most famous nude actresses. There's a penthouse chick I like that looks like her. Hedy's career ended badly. disbelief

Most of the 30's babe icons didn't really have a good outro to their careers. It's because they always wound up in 50's/60's exploitation cheapies.

I don't find the trilogy to be as brilliant as some claim, but I think it's still very well done. White is definitely my least fav, though I still like it.

Speaking of foreign chicks....

Never really seen her in anything that would really show acting talent, although she was one of the best Bond girls ever in Goldeneye. Tall women don't get enough work in Hollywood (it's the Tom Cruise Rule - at least they could dig trenches for Alan Ladd's leading ladies).

Really? You cant think of any better films for P and U?

Pulp Fiction, Psycho, Platoon, Parenthood, Pink Panther, Pirates of the Carribbean...hell even Piglets Big Movie

and U..

Unbreakable, Ulysses, Uncle Buck, Unforgiven...oh man of course...Usual Suspects.

Dont get me wrong, Im not knocking your choices as such (I actually wanted to see if tehre were many films with U)..but are they REALLY your favs for those letters?

I didn't say best, I said favorite. Pulp Fiction was a way better movie than Purple Rain, but I enjoy watching Purple Rain more. So the answer is yes, I would rather watch these films over and over than any other.

Was very hard. Needed some IMDB help to fill in the letters I could not come up with and that way was reminded of a whole lot other movies. I only made a multiple entry when there was no way that I could scrap a title in favour of the other. So here goes, a pretty cool list, methinks;

A- Amadeus/Aliens/American Beauty/Akira/Apocalypse Now
B- Blade Runner/Being John Malkovich/Das Boot/Beautiful Thing
C- Citizen Kane/Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon/The Color Purple
D- Donnie Darko/Dancer In The Dark/Dangerous Liaisons/The Dark Crystal
E- Elizabeth/Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind/E.T./The Empire Strikes Back/Ever After
F- Farewell To My Concubine/Fargo/Festen
G- Le Grand Blue
H- High Society/Hotel Rwanda/Hamam (Il Bagne Turco)/Hedwig ANd The Angry Inch
I- Invasion Of The Body Snatchers (1956)/The Insider/The Iron Giant
J- The Jungle Book (by Disney)
K- Koyaanisqatsi/Key Largo
L- Life Of Brian/Lola Rennt/LA Confidential/Lost In Translation
M- Magnolia/Memento/M (by Fritz Lang)/Metropolis (also by Frits Lang)/The Matrix/Het Meisje Met Het Rode Haar/My Fair Lady/Microcosmos
N- The Nightmare Before Christmas
O- Once Upon A Time In The West/One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest
P- The Princess Bride
Q-
R- Raise The Red Lantern/Rear Window/Raiders Of The Lost Ark
S- The Shawshank Redemption/Silence Of The Lambs/Some Like It Hot/Seven Samurai/The Sound Of Music/Singing In The Rain
T- Twelfe Monkees/Trainspotting
U- Der Untergang/The Usual Suspects
V- Vertigo/De Vierde Man
W- The Wizard Of Oz/While You Were Sleeping
X- X
Y- Yara
Z- Z

Many edits will follow, as I am still letting my mind go over movies that made a deep impact on me. Like I just remembered Dangerous Liaisons. Can you believe Glen Close did NOT get the Oscar for that? Academy bitches. And I just spotted The Color Purple, can you believe Whoopi did not get an Oscar for that? Academy bitches!

RED EDIT How could I forget While You Were Sleeping and Ever After? Both of there are extremely romantic, but I just happen to love romantic comedies! Ever After expecially needs a mention, as it is almost a perfect film; acting, sets, supporting cast; EVERYTHING. I just love that movie. It is one of the movies that does not bore me, not even after seeing it for like 20 times.

in bold the late additions
