I have a hard time with it. I think it would be more evident and things would shift and change because no one is that responsible. ANd how can one go back in time if there was no time machine in the time that they go back to.

Teleportation however...which sorta uses similar concepts, I think could be a reality someday.

Maybe it will become possible to use remote viewing to "travel" through time and watch the actual events but not participate in them. Then the problem would be to verify what's being seen.

Of course it's possible, but ONLY through mothers.

nod I also listen to this show. This one of my favorites. I especially love it when Art Bell hosts the show on the weekends. He was the origianl host until he retired.

very interesting....

The Coast to Coast radio show is the bomb (many times anyway).
I used to listen all the time when Art Bell was still the full time host.
He kept me from falling asleep at the wheel many nights driving home from gigs.

He used to periodically have a guest on, Mike "Madman" Markham.
This guy claimed to have built his own time machine using stolen transformers from the local power company.
On one appearance, he said the machine was completed and he was about to use it.
He was never heard from again. eek

Btw, John Titor has posted on the Time Travel Portal forum: http://timetravelportal.com

An interesting recent take on the subject...

...Primer

This film was made with a budget of around $7000 and won the Grand Jury & Alfred P. Sloan awards at last year's Sundance Film Festival.

hmmm Lemme guess.

You're gonna head back to around October of 1968 and tell JP to give those bluesmen their proper songwriting credits.

Time travel is a very interesting subject, and while I'm still not entirely
convinced that it's possible (in the classic linear to and fro sense), the
whole multiverse concept does make it more feasible to my sense of logic.

It's a bit like the way the Prof describes it in Back To The Future part II,
only instead of the branching of an alternate timeline like in the movie,
the very act of timetravel always causes alternate timelines anyway
(well, creates or discovers, depending on how you look at it).

time travel is a concept that would be both interesting and very frightening...I definately don't think it would be healthy there are too many "what if's" involved
