R.I.P. Sarge and Cuddles I'm so sad right now. I just got home from the vet's, where I had taken my dogs to be put to sleep. They were both old (13 and 18 years old) and very sick, and it was their time to go. Cuddles was Sarge's mother, and the two of them had never been seperated.
I've had Cuddles for as long as I could remember -one of my first memories is going to pick her up as a puppy from my uncle's house. We chose her because she was born the same day as my younger sister. They'd both turned 18 years old just two weeks ago. 
Sarge was born New Year's Day, 1992. She only had one littermate, and it was my dad's (R.I.P.) idea to keep her.

 Both at once! I'm thinking of you tonight.....I know it is terribly difficult to put a pet down, and family is family, two or four footed.

That broke me up. If (when) my old dachshound Sadie goes...I can't even think about that. I will feel as if I've lost a daughter.
