Best musical of the 80s: TAP

I forgot how cool this movie was (i even got the cd somewhere).

Gregory hines is such a good dancer. Plus u see a young savion glover (still a kid) doing some original as fuck moves in one scene. I love savion (think bamboozled)

The street dancing scene is magical shit. I wish that could really happen lol

Sure, film is very cliche but it doesn't pretend to be anything else. Plus greg is a good actor and beleivable.

rest in peace greg.

hmm ... I have't seen it - I'll have to search it out.

I quite like that other one about dance, the name escapes me. They all sing "One" (?) at the end ... and I think Michael Douglas is in it. Where's cborgman when you need him?

Michael douglas? Cool. Anyone seen "white nights" (somethign like that) with hines and that ballet dancer (where is minni g when u need her?). Not a great movie, but the dancing eek Good shit.

I dont think anyone has seen those movies. Musicals in the 80's just did not do good box office, with exceptions like "Purple rain", which is a musical of sorts.

Anyone remember "streets of fire"? I want that movie poster. It is out on DVD at least, unlike "tap"
