oh, to address the whole cutting at concerts thing...i kinda see where carrie's coming from that it's just part of the experience, but i also don't believe that if i show up early for a good space, i should get dicked over by some pushy little trogladite who feels entitled to whatever they want just because they're assy enough to expect it. this is why i HATE general admission shows, because you will always have to deal with these people, and most of the time they turn out to be ass-poodles who aren't even fans of whoever's performing.

i really do think twice before going to general admission shows for just this reason - though, as i said in an earlier thread, when i saw the pixies at lollapalooza a couple of weekends ago, the crowd around us were all waiting for a long time to see the show, and when weasels started trying to cut, we all worked together at crowd control and sent them bouncing toward the back of the crowd. it was touching!
