The issue is a little more important than nitpicking doncha think? Should we start multiple topics for all 860,000 missing persons in the US last year?

Image the time and money it would cost... I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

How many missing person cases have made continual NATIONAL news in the few years I can think of 2 - that is out of millions of missing persons. People look for race issues everywhere - even where they don't exist. BTW the next time you change my quote as you did above I am reporting you to the mods. Have a great day . well, my concern was that this information reach the largest audience.....i never once thought of any "cross posting" issues.....
but you know what? we did cross posting for 9/11..for ronald regan's death...for the london bombings... where were you then lovemachine? Space for sale...

I challenge you to show me where you allowed someone to start a thread and then TWO minutes later start another thread with a link to the first. That NEVER happened so don't be calling me out. Around the same time this happened yesterday Anxiety locked a thead for basically doing the same thing you did but I noticed yours stayed open. I realize that on some busier newsstories there are multiple topics created by DIFFERENT people and even then the moderators do their best to lock them up and steer them towards one main thread or a sticky thread. Keep messages on-topic, and don't cross-post.
Post in the appropriate forum for your topic, and don't post similar messages in multiple forums. Don't create new threads when an existing one will do. Don't create 'nonsense' threads. Maybe we should add unless you are a moderator and you feel that it is an important enough topic - to you (because personally as an international community I'm not exactly sure that one missing woman IN PHILADELPHIA out of 860,000 in the US qualifies as a big topic like the London bombings or September 11.) I seem to recall the moderators getting real testy about the runaway bride topics and I don't recall any of those being links to other topics started minutes earlier by the same person. This should be covered around teh clock in the Philly area but I'm not exactly sure why it would be huge news to someone in England or even Nebraska. . [Edited 7/28/05 8:02am]

Please ... we both know that I would probably only get 5 or 10 topics in before I would be told to stop. I wish I had more time because I would start creating and we would see what would happen.

[Edited 7/28/05 10:41am] are you seriously trying to make an issue of this? because if you are i would recommend you use the proper channels and orgnote me in private..if you dont feel comfortable about addressing this issue with me then take it up with ben..his email is ben@prince.org. beyond that i would recommend you enjoying the rest of this website until such time that you reach a resolution to this specific issue that is obviously causing you so much personal grief.. have a good day.. -sos Space for sale...

How about you sticky and lock this shit or something. You have the power.
It seems to be about as argument-filled as my calling out of the "new s." Insatiable taught me everything I know about balls.

It seems to be about as argument-filled as my calling out of the "new s." actually, thats not the point.... i created a thread in GD because more people visit this forum....the threads in the p&r was created with more specifics regarding the lack of media attention and racial factors at play.... to be honest, i havent really been able to follow the status of these threads because i flew yesterday in to LA and this morning into New York.....the one comment i *did* make was a quick responce right before i was heading out to a concert.. i, personally think its pathetic that an individual would get upset and use "website protocal" as an excuse to vent about his "issues" with this websites moderation.....i dont moderate the GD forum and if a mod who did moderate this forum felt that this thread was a duplicate post or inappropriate then they could have taken action...lovemachine simply could have reported the thread to moderator.. now, i dont know if he did or not..but once again, i get the impression lovemachine simply wanted an oppurtunity to "vent"...and to be honest, i highly doubt that he is that "angst" about this issue....he probably has some displaced anger that he is channeling to "this issue"... but hey, im not an armchair therapist so im gonna shut the fuck up now..all i know is that i saw a situation where a woman was missing and my gut reaction was to do all i could to help....and that meant posting a thread on this subject in the most active forum on this site so that the most eyes can see her face and understand whats going on..... and lovemachine, why is it you ask for instances where we have had duplicate threads in seperate forums, i give you those examples and then you comeback by hairsplitting and demand "other instances"... give it a rest man....seriously....your gonna give yourself a heart attack..
