All I've heard is that these days, European and go in to the US for 90 days, as it always was, but they need the newer passport (the electronic one).
But...I might be wrong and it's just for the French (they always hate on the French).

Hang on, what is this about a digital passport? Mine was issue in Bkk in 2001 and features a raised passport photo sealed over with laminated plastic. Does this mean I can't visit the USA?

If I'd a known there was a mini-excursion to Mexico, I might've tried harder to make it work.

ah well. I will just have to be all jealous and cry tears of envy when I see the pics.
