So...this friend of mine..I met when we worked together a couple years ago...still stay in touch...and talk almost everyday.....


Well...she's a single mom with two kids...one boy 13 and one girl 8.....they stayed the summer with their dad....he decided he wants them.....

She says No....she wants them..so it's all sorted out..and they are gonna still stay with her....

She quit her job like 4 months ago....I guess the people up there were mean or whatever...so she needs a job...like bad or she'll lose her apartment....


So I talk with my boss....all she has to do is come up and fill out the application...the job is hers....but she never does...this is a little over a month ago....


So now...she's losing her apartment...has nowhere to go....and her boyfriend can't make up his mind if he wants her to live with him....once he makes up his mind...he changes it and says he's not ready...3 times he's done this...


Well the only thing is she can't take her kids with her...he lives in a house...where no kids are allowed..so


THE KIDS ARE GONNA STAY WITH DAD!!!! no offense to the dad...he wants them!

But she's all about Poor me Poor me....he can't make up his mind he's being mean.....when she's gonna lose her kids....all she talked about was how she can't pay the rent for her apartment....and he's being mean cos he can't make up his mind.....

Now what I'm sooooo disgusted about is...I had her a job....she could have kept her apartment...kept her kids.....and whatever she wanted to do about her boyfriend...she would have had that freedom to do....cos she would still have her apartment....

When I talk to her...she never mentions the kids....(Oh Liz..I'm really in a bad way right now)....I made the comment....(if you came up to my work you'd be getting your 3rd check this Friday) no comment from her about this....


She says in a year she can get them back if they wanna come back....



Sorry guys.....I just can't see how someone would not work their ass off for their kids....to be able to keep them.....My job isn't that hard...she has done it before...but she was holding out for something better...which she never got! So she just lost her kids!

Her little girl....just breaks my heart..she wants to stay with mom

Her son wants to be with dad...wants a man around...

and she's worried about her boyfriend...

She's 48...and has three grown kids...plus these two





I sometimes feel bad when I don't wanna talk to her...cos all of this could have been avoided!! I just don't like her now!

Sounds complicated. I'm gonna chain my kids to my waist until they are 21. Seriously, I couldn't imagine not having my kids with me all the time. It is going to be tougher than she thinks I'll bet. I wouldn't want to miss one single day of seeing them grow up.

I mean I am kinda in the same situation, except they are my boyfriends kids. And we want them full time

sounds like she's putting her boyfriend before her kids....seems like she almost sabotaged the situation right? I mean she would have a ton of guilt if she just said...Sure..take them, so she had to say no way I couldn't do that and then create the situation where it would be "best" for them to live with dad...and well, in that case...she's probably right. I hope they have a great life living with Dad...he obviously does want them so chances are good it will be the ideal situation.

In my personal situation, the mother is said situation is out and we are to get the kids everyother weekend.

I dont go out much, she does, so its everyweekend which seems to consist of Weds - Mon. But then every Mon night I pick them up and take them out to eat,

She just lost my respect...I never thought she'd act like this....

I don't know enough about this person to guess what was going on in her head.

I'm curious about the job offer though. I suppose you vouched for her when you talked to your boss? Do you think that the fact that your friend didn't show up made your boss lose faith in you? What was the job anyway? Was it something she would normally have been qualified for and/or be interested in?

I don't think she wanted to get a job period....she had one and quick cos of the people there....saying they were mean....I can understand that...but if you have kids....Your responsible for them!!

At this point I hope everything goes well for the kids.....

I'm good friends with my boss...she wouldn't think bad of me cos of someone else....she understood!

I did talk with her for a few minutes yesterday....her boyfriend is having second thoughts on her moving in with him....she actually said....that because of her boyfriend....her life is going to hell....
