eek I just got an email telling me this would happen and my friend gave me number to call to stop that crap...but I deleted it.

Damn I hate that in the UK we have TPS where we can register to have our number on the banned list, you must have something like that in the States

More then likely you used your cell phone number to do business with a company or fill out a contest form etc. and they sold the number to telemarketers.

I just called my cell company to find out why my London calls weren't going through as a side note mentioned it and found out there IS a list....
