GottaLetitgo's Quest for 1000 Org Posts I am at 847 right now, 143 from the magical number of 1000. Now I realize some of you have like 12,000 or something but 1000 is a pretty big deal for me. I figure 1000 might get me into the club a little, you know, get me mentioned on some Org lists or get me some Orgnotes without having to beg for them. Even if doesn't, an Orglineum of posts would still be something that I would consider a personal achievement.
In order to hit 1000, I am going to have step up my posting. I am just not posting that much anymore. I need to be bringing my A game for the next few weeks. I need to comment on everything, even if doesn't apply to me (women respond only...bah, I have a 1000 posts to get to) and I will have to start a whole lot more threads. Posts to expect from me in the next few weeks: 1) 3 or 4 GottaLetitgo Hero threads, including the long-awaited salute to Dudley from Diff'Rent Strokes. 2) Several posts about how music began (and to a certain extent ended) with "Sign O the Times". 3) Threads about my family where I will reveal way too much about the wifey; i.e. her snoring issues, her refusal to have a favorite musical band of any sort, her terrible taste in television, etc. 4) More fake threads about imaginary Org Celebrations in Columbia, South Carolina and of course 5) A plethora of threads where I talk about how I am the most unappreciated member on the Org. My Orglineum is steadliy approaching. I just must have the patience to wait it out and let the glory happen! All good things they say never last...

I guess I could do one of those but that would be admitting defeat. I have not yet begun to pander for Org attention. All good things they say never last...

I think that would put you over the top! I think I should do a whole series on Stallone's "Over the Top". Pound for pound one of the worst concepts for a movie ever. All good things they say never last...

Oh no, I didn't say that. Obviously, I wanted Lincoln Hawk to defeat Bull Hurley (played by the late David Zumwalt, who was a real-life arm wrestling champion and who sadly passed away in 2003). I wanted him to get that $250,000 rig but more importantly the love of his son Michael (David Mendenhall). But, as much as I enjoyed the hamminess I just couldn't get that worked up about watching arm wrestling. And Mendenhall's performance may be one of the worst by any child actor ever. Terrible concept but I still find myself watching the movie every tme it comes on and laughing everytime he introduces himself as Lincoln Hawk. I'm still anxiously waitng for Sly's rumored thumb-wrestling movie called "1-2-3 Thumb War" All good things they say never last...
