They could be anything from complete idiots who tried to make real bombs but failed to "genuine terrorists" that aren't looking to kill but only want to prove that they can set off bombs anywhere at anytime (even right after other attacks with all the heightened security they bring).

It feels like they are sticking 2 fingers up to us and saying even with your increased security we can still get you. A hospital has been cornered off and armed police are on the scene. disbelief

I flew in and out of Heathrow this weekend, on arrival I did not see 1 police officer. When i left i saw several vans parked up but what looked like to be the normal amount of armed police on foot.
