Dirty Germs!

I cant stand using internet cafes.. the germs that you get from the keyboards are oh so disgusting..

Like people who go to the loo and dont wash their hands but open the door on their way out..

Eating peanuts in a bar, when ppl havent washed their hands..

People brushing their hair in public.. etc etc etc...

Germs spread.. I hate them.. why are there so many unclean ignorant people about?

Like George Carlin, I may not always wash my hands after going to the bathroom.

I also don't use internet cafes. I like to keep my filthyness to myself.

The worst: is someone who is obviously sick, yet doesn't cover their mouth when coughing.

Once when I was in a public washroom this guy came in, washed his hands, peed and walked out, in that order. In a weird way it made sense that he didn't want to touch his dick with unwashed hands, but if he cared that much about hygiene I'm surprised he didn't wash them afterwards too. hmm

If I have to absolutely go to a public restroom I don't touch anything! I go in, do my business, wash my hands, use a paper towel to turn off the sink and again to open the door. I am not like Monk or anything but, people can be some nasty ass jerks. Even women!

I hate it when they don't have clothes hooks in public washrooms. What am I supposed to do with my jacket and/or bag? Keep them on my damn lap while I'm doing my business? I sure as hell don't want to put them on the floor.

Maybe you feel even worse after reading this but did you know that germs (bacteria) are just plain unavoidable?

They are just everywhere, and it's a myth that any amount of cleaning will get rid of them. 5 minutes after you wash your hands, they're just as "dirty" as before.

Here, give it a read: http://en.wikipedia.org/w...human_body

You enrich for bacteria resistent to the anti-bacterial stuff in it, is all. So they will bring down the total number of bacteria (the non-resistent), but the resistent ones will have a ball.

Yep very true. Studies in my lab have also shown that many antibacterial soaps do not kill bacteria, only slow their growth.

There is also some evidence to suggest that scrubbing your hands with a brush while washing them dislodges bacteria from crevices in your hands and spreads them over the surface.

So doctors and surgeons, dont really wash their hands of bacteria when they scrub up? They just dislodge the bacteria? eyepop

I think that was the purpose of the investigation.... to determine whether pre-op practices were contributing to hospital infections

Ok stand back, some clarity needed herea (although Alfo has brought some sanity to the discussion..)

Oppsesive complusive people please leave the thread, turning a tap off with a paper towel is hilarious lol Do you open the door with a paper towel too? lol then open your car door with a paper towel, hold a stair rail with a apaper towel?. BActeria are everywhere, wash your hands cus they are dirty, but we need bacteria, scum and poor personal hygine are unnaceptable.

When surgeons scrub up they don't use soap they use a product that conatins povidone-iodine this (unlike standard antibacterial soaps) is believed to kill all known types of baceria, fungi, viruses, and their spores.

I never said that doctors used soap - they use is Hibiscrub (at least in most hospitals in the UK) and believe me it doesn't kill everything either!!

I totally understand that germs are everywhere. That some germs are good and actually prevent u from getting sick. I DO NOT have ocd. I have seen people use the restroom, come out and open the door and leave! What is the point of washing my hands if I am just going to touch the load of shit that Ms Susie nasty ass just wiped on the door? Yes I do use a paper towel. If I didn't I may as well put my hand up her ass. Or not wash at all.

Never leave home without it

I think I might use this a little too much though. Weird thing is that I wasn't really a germaphobe until I had to share a dorm with other girls. oh my god, the toilet seat omg I go through a can a lysol like every week, spraying door handles and everything else in sight. I'm worried I might have OCD now, because at times it gets kinda psychotic. I hate touching things like gas pumps and atm buttons and other "public" things. And I hate for people to touch my personal things like my cell phone, ipod, and remote control. After I logoff the computer, I always use sanitizer or wash my hands, because other people use my computer so it's not just my germs on it. I know, crazy wacky

I do that, if it's a sink or door handle where I know a bunch of people who don't wash their hands used.
