If you notice, most of the new reality shows give celebrity status to really bad people. Nice people never seem to make it on these shows. We seem to get a kick out of watching the lowest of humanity become popular.

Shows that our country is wallowing in the slime. So much for the world being a better place.

It seems that only bad people become famous. Being good is now a no no.


Infamy is the new fame. We might as well let out Manson and give him a show. Hell, I better not give them any ideas.

Reality freaks.

i think reality television has given good ol' regular people in america a warped view of what is public and what is private. i see people cavorting on their cell phones blathering on about miserably personal subjects in full earshot of a crowded bus or a busy street, yet at the same time those people get salty when a tourist or an amateur photographer is taking street pictures and aiming anywhere near their direction, because they don't want their image exploited.

i'm not sure if i'm making the most pristine point here, but i think that people have a really warped sense of privacy (and the lack thereof) these days, and i think reality television is partly to blame for making folks feel like their lives are some kind of potential entertainment commodity. i think it's easy for people who are hooked on those shows to get a really deluded sense of self.

Then there's this INXS show on CBS--who in the hell would want that band back? Their lead singer commited suicide--nobody can replace him. Better that they just play bars, or just go away.

You know Andy Warhol predicted this phenomenon. i think this was where his whole theory of 15mins of fame was born.

Yeah, everything on TV is fake now. I just found out Andy Milonakis is really a 27 yr. old man. I am still in shock. 27! I honestly don't mind reality shows. I know they're all fake, but you know whatever.

I have to say I do feel ya. I really can't stand most of it..Nanny 911 make me cringe cringe cringe.

However if you wanna get your angst out on it...I recommend renting Series 7. It's a movie about a reality show in which 7 people ar randomly selected, each are given a gun and the object is to be the last one alive. Pretty funny, yet it's a dark comedy.

i'll admit that if john waters had his own reality show set in a run-down house in a sketchy part of baltimore, my happy ass would be in front of the TV every week.

but that would be too much like entertainment.

I like the VH-1 Celebreality lineup. Thats all I find time to watch lately.
I love the Celebrity Fit Club. Thats my show!
