SMILE! I went to the store to get a soda. As I was crossing the sidestreet, a woman was pulling out and she did not see that I was crossing. I saw her in time to stop walking, because if I had continued, she might have hit me. She turned her head and she was surprised to see how close she was to me She slammed on her breaks and she held her hand up in a gesture to say sorry and I just smiled and waved for her to proceed.
As I crossed the street, she whipped around and pulled into the parking lot and I thought she was going to get an attitude and she said "You just made my day with that smile. Thank you." I just said thank you and went on my merry way. Maybe she thought I was gonna get an attitude over the fact that she nearly ran me over but I didn't. I just smiled and it made things brighter Smile and Brighten up someone's day 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

As a rule I'd say if you feel like smiling, smile. If you don't, then don't. There's nothing more pathetic than a strained smile. A genuinely serious face makes me feel a lot better than a fake smiley one.

I got dramas. I just like having fun And I like being nice But not fake 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

I'm with ya SUPA. It takes a lot for me to get really angry. I guess we don't sweat the small stuff. Smiling is great. I know I love it when someone smiles at me or when I smile at someone and they smile back. It's a total change in body chemistry, you can just feel it.
I also love to try to strike up a conversation with people wherever I am. It's a trip because there are people that you can just "riff" with. I've had some great comedic conversations with cashiers, waiters etc. That's what life is all about. Just talking about it makes me feel good. Smiling is somewhat of a lost art amongst strangers....Sad but true. I always smile at folks.
And on a sidebar topic. I was standing in line at Savon getting some beer after playing ball in Pasadena, when a gentlemen in front of me asked was this kind of beer I had any good? (Becks) I told him it was a smooth German beer without the bitter bite. We had a brief conversation...and I simply gave him a bottle right there in line. He was impressed and told me to "Stay Positive" as we parted ways. Random acts of kindness are just as well as a good smile! Whap! The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them. -- Mark Twain.

M I do the conversation thing too, you learn all kindsa stuff.... one guy in the cue before me in the garage started telling me about his sex change and how much it was costing him to get it done in amsterdam and how he already had a female name sorted I was a little shocked by how much detail he went into, staff in places are great to play with
