Some British products are much cheaper here in Germany than in the UK, for instance Freshetta Pizza and Mum deodorant and many other products.
Saínsbury charges 2 1/2 times more for the pizza than most supermarkets over here. It´s strange.

VAT and different taxation policies in different countries mainly, coupled with promotors charging the accepted going rates in appropriate countries

the taxation issue is the real reason y most things r priced differently in other countries compared 2 the uk. if u were 2 legally import anything "cheaper" back in2 the uk u would b hit 4 duty and VAT if the item cost was over £18

gordon brown has officially requested 2 brussels 2 change the personal importation limits as they haven't changed in 10 years, thus £135 is the current limit 4 bringing goods back 2 the uk from outside europe (not including booze and fags and duty frees). he is trying 2 bring this up 2 about £1000

don't u guys keep up2 date with the financial times, or do u just read smash hits? lol

no, it's not strictly the tax. and i doubt they would make the same cuz there r a number of other issues involved such as local payrates and taxes, as well as hold both perfomance and machanical copywrite laws operate. ure probably aware of u2's high profile case where they argued that they shouldn't have 2 pay the PRS royalties 2 pay thier own songs, and then have the PRS deduct administration charges. venue hire and conditions of use will also vary by city and country, depending on various laws

don't u lot know nothing about putting on a major worldwide arena tour?
