I was born in Dordrecht, Holland in 1977. Lived there for 6 wonderful years.

Then my family moved to the south of Holland to a city called Zevenbergen. I lived there with my parents untill I was 18 years old. During that time I finished two schools. High School and a Secretary school.

Then at age 18 I realised I didn't even want to become a secretary, so I moved to Utrecht and studied Marketing there for 4 years. The last year I did an internship in New York. After finishing that, I was graduated and so the next new phase (work) in my life I wanted to do in yet another city. So I moved to Rotterdam.

Been living there for 4 years now, having a great time at my very first job since my graduation. And now... I am about to embark upon a wonderful new phase in my life with a very special man who I love and have loved so much for so long now. I can't wait.

During all the phases of my life, I have met so many wonderful people. Such angels. You know how you meet some1 and they just say the right thing at the right time, to motivate you into a new course in life, or give you that little push to make the right decision. But also people who just make you laugh so hard your stomach hurts. Or people who (at that moment) hurt your feelings, but are actually the reason you have grown so strong through the years.

Life is great. I can't wait to start the next phase. Meet more angels and do my best to be an angel for others. smile

peace

I was born in the East Bay, California in 1983. I had two sisters. I was in the middle and we were all two years apart. My parents had met while studying abroad in Madrid, Spain. My mom was from Oregon and my father from Japan. My father moved to the US and became a citizen 20 years later.

Was a GATE identified student all throughout school. Did well in all subjects. A self proclaimed nerd! Started to falter at math in junior high, which seriously disappointed my father, but learned that English really was my thing in high school. Played tennis and badminton and was on student council and did all the clubs, etc. Went through huge turmoil involving my race, which only continued and worsened as I progressed through college.

Anyway, graduated in 2001 and went on to University of California Santa Cruz, where I learned more than I can possibly type in this little box. I studied abroad in London from 2003 - 2004 at University of London King's College. Met my boyfriend (a little disturbing in regards to my own parents), got some help in the self esteem department, learned to love beer, learned how to dance. Grew confident and independent.

Just finished up my final year at school last month. I graduated with a major in literature with a concentration in creative writing fiction and a minor in film and digital media. I learned how to write... better.

Now I'm living back at home, waiting to move back to London at the end of the year. I hope to live there a good long while before coming back. I'm only 21 so there is much room for improvement...
I mean, like, where is the sun?

Rhondab

Born in the late 60's

Raised in a household of music, jazz from my dad and my mother was all about Motown and she was very much into contemporary music. I remember going to the record store and crackin' up at her and the store clerk trying to figure out what song my mother wanted but she couldn't think of the name. They would have go through every damn 45 until they could find the song.

Me and my little brother fought throught our child hood over things like...move away from the tv, stop touching me, you stink, come inside now before mom kicks your ass, etc.

I was quiet in highschool yet a little quirky. I was a "goodgirl".

I went to a local college with hardly any minorities. eek Instead of my gaining the freshmen 15, I lose weight and modeled briefly.I met all of my close friends during this time. They are all my girls today. In my last year of school, met and dated this cool as dude, then had his child. My mother didn't kill me like she told me she would all through high school. smile

Embraced motherhood, became more conscience of my community, started volunteering at a local HIV agency. Love community development and work. Motherhood is now really getting interesting. I am now having to start letting my kid apply what I've taught her and its scaryyyyy.

In the past year, i've learned more about myself, where I am spiritually. Miss my mom.

Born 1974 in Birmingham, left brum at 5 and grew up in Worcestershire. Had a wonderful childhood (although you don’t know it at the time). At 14 moved to North Wales where I did the school stuff.

Mum died when I was 15

Went to University in London in 92 and graduated my BSc in 96. Started my PhD that autumn and published my first studies in 98. Finished my PhD in 99.

That same time I met my future wife just 10 days before I moved to the US where I completed 2 Post Doctoral Positions; one at Yale and the other at the University of New Mexico. Kept in contact with my future wife for 2 years and proposed to her in 2002. When I finished in the US I moved to be with her in Italy.

I moved back to the UK where I taught medical students all about science and continued to publish my work. My fiancé moved to the UK when she graduated and we bought a house together and were married in September 2003. I now teach undergraduates all about science and still try to do some research when I have the time.

We are now expecting our first Bambino.

Two year degree, I think not, edit!

Born in Wisconsin in 76, lived in S.D. until age 12 and basically grew up in Omaha, NE. The Midwest is not for me! moved to NC in 96 at age 20. Graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2002 GO TAR HEELS!! Have a job in my feild and have developed side projects that have been somewhat successful. Now I'm ready to go back to graduate school, get my MBA and shift to sports and entertainment marketing (since that's already mostly what I do, just more money). Ummmmm....my mark and blast is yet to be made. Did I mention that I'm in a quarter life crisis? What am I doing with my life?!?!?!?!?!?! I need more money!!!!

Born at Jesse Macpherson Hopital, Melbourne, Australia 1980...

Memoriez of bein a very thoughtful toddler- who spent much time daydreamingz...often thought 2 be quiet and shy- except when the music came on ofcourse lol

1981- had the Croop virus. Severe fever, convulsionz. Not good.

1982- probably my first award for anything- baby pageant- baby show 2nd and 3rd- was reportedly throwing tantrums the whole way through. I dont know how i got any awardz misbehaving- but eh! cool

1983- memoriez of The Making of Thriller video come 2 mind lol memoriez of copying mj dance movez lol

1984- my paternal grandparentz and youngest uncle came 2 stay with us from India...eventually became permanent residentz...

Late 1984 move in2 da house i am in 2day...

1985- kindy! Also da first time i got 2 be a flower girl...

1986-1992 Primary school yearz..1987 we got my doggy Tommy from a wildlife park in a lovely place called The Grampians in Victoria...was a big nerd in primary...i'm proud of this- cause i totally rocked in story-writing...mine often got dintinguished in class...and other class matez i recall either really really wanted 2 read my talez or wanted 2 copy them!! lol Played piano- was excellent at sight-reading. Made only a few friendz. But one of them I hang with 2 this day. Poem published in newsletter.

1989- my grandfather who brought me and my cousin up diez of lung cancer. It was da worst thing ever- it was da first most dramatically traumatising thing i ever endured i finkz.

1991- Parentz seperate...i spent much of my childhood wishing every new year dat my parentz would go through just ONE year of not fighting da way they did. I often wondered if they'd be 2gether when i turned 21...or when i'd get married etc.

1992- Parentz divorce- bitterly.

1993-1998- growing yearz...highschool yearz lol strict raising meant i never really went out so nuffin really exciting went on- but my humourous anticz kept me and my friendz amused. I was the Walking Jukebox. Loved 2 sing in class lol Teacherz loved me, but never knew how damn cheeky i could b innocent Was part of school choir, yearly magazinez etc. Went through various phases with my hair. Was quite known for this. Still friendz wif my highschool friendz.

1997- Got 2 meet my favourite band at da time at my aunty and uncle'z wedding! The lead singer sang at the ceremony. Me and my cousinz looked like fairiez-yearz later i apologized 2 one of them for bein so damn obsessed...he said they didnt seem 2 mind lol

1998- second poem getz published in anthology. Graduated highschool.

1999- Started my course in Proffessional Writing and Editing parttime. Started piano lessons again- focusing more on chord progression. Started composing my own tunez. Did a short course in announcingz at local youth radio station Hitz FM. Was a newsreader during late winter. Later this year i applied for a course called Commercial Radio at the uni i am currently at. Very hard 2 get in2. Very highly sorted and competitive. Only 12 openingz per year. Guess who getz accepted?! Yes...ME!! But...because i couldnt do it parttime along with my writing, i had 2 drop it sad ...i also applied for a course in composing and did one core subject for a semester in music theory. Had 2 drop it cause i had no time 2 concentrate on it!! My dog Tommy diez June 3. Something told me from da start-when i was a kid dat he would be my 'school dog'and i was completey right about this omg sad

2000- performed at a concert for all writerz. It was funny and witty and it was captured on video- i need 2 get it lol

2001- my 21st birthday. Big big party. I sang "Natural Woman" and i had my cousinz go ballistic lol one of em was like 'since when the fuck could you sing like THAT?! I knew you could sing but...' cool dat was da best!! It was also my last year of Prof. Writing and Editing.

2002- decided i wanted 2 continue studiez but just do sumfin different. Applied for Multimedia and Media studies. Got in. This year was a bad year for me emotionaly. Had a few not so great experiencez... Joined singing lessonz. Was asked 2 sing in a cafe/bar venue after first lesson lol

2003- Year of growth! Had a producer interested in working with me. He was supposed 2 be associated with Wylcef Jean! But he was kinda sleazy and i got scurred of him and decided not 2. Had da bestest birthday...everyone i invited was there.
I logged on here on my birthday!! yes bat giggle bat

2004- work experience at Risk sound company. Got 2 mingle with directorz of advertisementz and meet alotta actorz and comedians...also got 2 record my scream in an ad- which has flown further than i ever had!!

NOW- cant wait 2 graduate and go 2 America!!! Come 2 stage where i know i wanna focus on Media- screw multimedia!! lol It isn't for me!!

I was born a in 1975 in a small suburb of Minneapolis. I grew up in Andover, Minnesota with one brother, 5 years older than me, who I fought with rather viciously till the day I moved out.
I was identified 'high potential' with an IQ well above average at a very early age and was in accellerated classes throughout school. I was quiet and shy and always called 'mature for my age'. I was a bit of a misfit, but by about age 13 I started to grow out of that and become a bit more sure of myself. By age 15-16 I was done with being 'mature for my age' and began to rebel quite a bit. By my senior year I was doing all sorts of things a teen girl shouldn't (raves, drugs, what have you), but still managed to take college courses through the year and graduate with highest honors (the top academic award you could achieve at my school since they did away w/valedictorians and the like).
I moved out promptly (to Minneapolis) at age 18 and went to college for a year, but I ran out of money to pay for it and soon found myself working 2 jobs and moving into my very own first apartment. Which was way more fun than school at the time.
I messed about for a few years, doing not much more than seeing a LOT of shows, dancing every other night and getting 'dressed up' for fun. During this time I took 3rd place in a club kid competition, continued my occasional experimentation w/drugs, and just generally had a good time all the time.
I began to settle down a bit in my mid 20's and found a job I could stand and had somewhat of a future and began to travel whenever I had enough money saved.
And that's pretty much what I've been doing since. smile
