Mozilla FireFox Users....QUESTION. Update: Ok now Netscape won't open! :(

Is anyone else having trouble opening it? It just won't open at all. I had to download Netscape because of this. mad

I'm stuck with IE since Netscape won't open now. mad I've never had this problem before where browers simply won't open at all. I just can't take I.E....we have DSL and it's still so slow. pout

pout why me?!!!!! Well, Netscape's doing just fine....I'll make do with it, I guess. I had gotten used to mozilla. Even though it's a branch from Netscape, it still seems to be the best.

I LOVE Firefox!!!! The best browser ever. nod

I have not had any trouble opening it; I am running OSX, however, not Windows.

If it was working fine before, try uninstalling and reinstalling.

I uninstalled and reinstalled it twice. I just went to the help site and turns out other people are having the same problem. Netscape is ok for now though. I do hate that all of my saved files from mozilla are gone. pout

FireFox is the best thing ever. The only thing I don't like is that there's no "Go" button next the address field....sometimes I like to copy and paste links in windows and I don't wanna have to hit "enter" on my keyboard - I just wanna click "Go".

I lurve firefox. It's awesome.
I only use Internet Explorer if I'm going to Microsoft.com, MSN.com, or MSNBC.com

most other sites work with firefox--and if the browser crashes (which is rare), it doesn't take your PC with it.

I saw this strange entry in today's instalment of the Gizmodo.com blog:

Mozilla/Netscape Borks on New Design
We are aware that Mozilla and Netscape messes up on the new design. If you can’t see the page, can you email your OS and Netscape version to tips at gizmodo.com and include “BORK” in the subject line?

Not sure what it means, but it sounds like it is related to your problem.

www.gizmodo.com

That probably means that the html code for gizmodo.com isn't completely compatible with Netscape and Mozilla browsers and they're trying to rectify the problem. I had the same issue with one of my own websites where IE displayed it perfectly but Mozilla and Netscape would screw it up.

This happens to me from time to time too. Firefox doesn't appear to load, but when I hit Control+Alt+Delete and look under the processes tab, it is listed there. Usually when this happens, I will just highlight "firefox.exe" and click "End Process". Then try to launch Firefox again and it works fine.

Firefox is a great browser, but it's still a bit sluggish and rough around the edges.

Whenever I hit control+alt+delete, nothing is listed. It's almost as if I didn't click it, but when I go to shut the computer down or logoff from my user profile it always asks if I want to end FireFox now or wait until it shuts down. confuse That's weird considering it was never open to begin with. It's been down for two days now.

does it? I always hit enter anyway, so I probably never paid the "go" button any attention.
