I saw FOUR MOVIES today!

First was War of the Worlds.....EXCELLENT!...and the ending fit quite logically....FOR ONCE!

Second was Batman Returns.....very good, dark, and pretty much dead on!

Third was Fantastic Four.....My grade would be a C+ just for the effort.

Fourth was Mr. and Mrs. Smith...entertaining with good chemistry with good wit!

Ok Bye!

I don't really want to see The Fantastic Four. I've been hearing that it's not that fantastic. Mr. and Mrs. Smith... I need to see. Ms. Jolie puts a smile on my face. wink

saw it on Friday, kinda liked it. Funny enough I don't remember the ending, or the reason why the tripods ceased to exist.....that bothers me now..... I remember it was something similar to the ending of 'Mars Attacks!', only this time it wasn't country-music.....

Disagree. I thought the ending was a lame-ass, typical Spielberg "feel good" ending that didn't fit the tone of the film. Plot holes big enough to drive a mack truck through.

Second was Batman Returns.....very good, dark, and pretty much dead on!

Dude, Batman Returns came out in, like, 1992! wink As for the NEWEST Batman film, Batman Begins, it kicks all kindsa ass!

Third was Fantastic Four.....My grade would be a C+ just for the effort.

Entertaining, anyway!

Fourth was Mr. and Mrs. Smith...entertaining with good chemistry with good wit!

Still need to see this one. I've heard very mixed things from friends.

Ok Bye!

War of the Worlds was good for the first 1:53 minutes and the last 3 minutes sucked big time cause the boy should have been dead. How he survived that big blast and found Boston from where he was.

I agree....with you there on NO-ONE from his entire family perished...THAT WAS HOLLYWOOD HAPPY ENDING BULLSHIT!

But from a "sci-fi" perspective...I think it was DEAD ON!

I agree 100 percent on that feel good ending....that was whack! I was speaking from the "sci-fi" perspective...not the family shit!

Okay, then we are in complete agreement. The ending you speak of was actually from the original HG Wells novel (in fact, I think the novel even went so far as to say it was Chicken Pox that the aliens caught, which is pretty cool since that is such a mundane virus to us).

nod She'll probably like Mr. and Mrs. Smith a bit better because Ms. Jolie "one-ups" Brad throughout the movie....it was an entertaining movie. Batman is laced with a bit more testosterone of course, but if she is a fan, she will like it!
