Car services

I put my car in for its 50,000 km service today.

Why is it that one hour after booking it in you get a phonecall telling you you need new brake pads? 2 new tyres? etc etc

You think the damn thing is going to cost a couple of hundred for the service and all of a sudden it's a thousand bucks. mad

I'm as suspicious as hell that it's all a load of crap but I know fuck all about cars. They see the baby seat in the back and think "you beauty, this sucker will agree to anything to keep his kids safe".

does this shity go on in other countries?

nod My wife took her car in for an oil change and tune up and ended up getting a break job as well (she didn't tell me until after). There was only around 30,000 miles on the vehicle! I think they were full of crap. mad
