Y'all Ready For The Harry Potter Craze?

Sales of the "Half-Blood Prince" starts tomorrow at midnight! My store's gonna be hoppin'!

I'm gonna be doing a twelve hour shift until 3am... then, returning at 8am to open for more craziness!!

Pray for me! pray

Why do people rush out to buy it at midnight?

Why not wait til the next day, it's not like they'll run out of the fuckers. confuse

TheFrog

I've gone from someone who enjoyed the first couple of books, as being unexceptional but fun little stories, to someone who is totally fed up with this never-ending bullshit.

Every story is the fucking same!

Let me summarise this one for you before it comes out - Voldemort loses.

Now I can look forward to a good week or so of actually being able to operate the TV remote myself whilst she is lost in the middle of anither one of these dumb books dancing jig

You should put a spoiler warning on that !

I totally agree with you, it's turned into Harry Potter and the Wizard of Marketing.

Does anybody actually believe that those copies of the book were sold accidentally ? The publishers have made it perfectly clear for months when the release date was - are we supposed to believe that any book store manager is too stupid to take note of that, particularly when we're talking about one of the most awaited books there's ever been. The only way they could have 'forgotten' the release date and sold copies early is if they were instructed to do so by the publisher in order to crank up the marketing machine another notch. And I really resent the abuse of the judicial system in order to hype a book. I think there is a case for the publishers to answer - wasting court time is a serious matter. I don't know why the judges even entertain these cases. I would have told them to fuck off and get over themselves.
Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.
