and to be honest, i haven't heard any of this sufjan guy's work at all. pitchfork has been hyping the life out of him lately, and when i heard folks around the org were into him too, i got curious...plus it's a hoot to have an album about the state i live in, especially if it's good. i like his idea for doing an album for every state.

interestingly, when i bought my copy of this album today, they put the wrong sufjan stevens CD in the jewel case they sold me, so when i got home i wound up copying another CD of his, then taking it back to get "illinois"...so if i like him, i've got plenty of his stuff to listen to!
