Man those people at the hospital really pin you down about the money!! Drew will have to pay his brain surgen $900 and $48 per day in ICU, his insurance will pick up the rest. They were tring to force him into a bank loan! Drew was like "thanks, but no thanks." Many of Drew's clients have connections at the hospital and with his doctor and they are arranging VIP treatment for him. So the balling is rolling and this time next week he will be on the road to recovering. Lastnight we went to our favorite resturant and had a nice dinner- we had steamed mussels, endive and blue cheese salads, Drew had veal piccata and roasted potatoes and I had a fillet and potatoes au gratin, and a nice bottle of wine. It was nice to take our minds off the last 2 weeks and celebrate.
Thanks for the update! And good for you, spoiling yourselves a bit! Keep in mind, in all this care-giving you're doing to also remember to take care of yourself. I know you're not the one going in for brain surgery, but this has got to be SO hard on you too. Make sure you're also surrounding yourself with all the support you can get.  |

I know you're not the one going in for brain surgery, but this has got to be SO hard on you too. Make sure you're also surrounding yourself with all the support you can get. I think the hardest thing for me is going to be home alone for a week while he's in ICU. We are pretty much together all the time and time away from one another is all ways painful for me.
