We found out July 1 that Drew has a brain tumor. We met with the neurosurgeon Friday July 8th and he believes that Drew has had this tumor all his life and that it has slowly grown over his lifetime. It's the size of a golf ball, lodged where his optic nerves met. The tumor is putting pressure on the optic nerves, he has lost his peripheral vison in both eyes. The doctor doesn't believe that it is malignant and is pretty confident that Drew will regain the sight he has lost. His surgery is scheduled for the 19th, he will be in ICU for 5 days and released the 24th- give or take a day. We were both pretty freaked out- we found out it was a tumor on the 1st, but really didn't know anything until last Friday. The hives I had last week was do to stress, but now we are both resting a little easier.
