I have a iMac with the swivel arm a 15" flat monitor that is 2 1/2 years old. All I really do is use it for fun and games here and elsewhere, on-line bill paying and music downloads. I'm thinking of keeping it for one more year before I look for a new one. Is that long enough?

And when are you getting a new one?

I go about 2 years per configuration.

Then I upgrade.

This year, I think I'll refrain and just get a big ol flat screen monitor.

my computer does everything i want it to do, so i'll probably keep it till it starts crapping out on me.

I am waiting till the Mac conversion to Intel chips and a large monitor ( 20" - 24" preferably ), although I may still be doing the same thing I am doing now with it.
