actually, it's better for both. they're washable, so it ain't like you're gonna be walkin around with a bloody pad all the time--and washable/reusable pads are much better for the environment, not to mention all the money you save from not having to buy pads from the store all the time. once i get the money i'ma order some, not only because of the savings but because store-bought pads tend to be irritating anyways.

check this out. nod

I'm actually in agreement with Handsclap...for once! lol

The "gladrags" are better for both the environment and for a woman's personal hygeine, but the IDEA of it is still pretty gross. It takes a better woman than me...for now anyway.

Good Lookin-out, Dook! wink

I guess it's no more 'ick' than using cloth diapers for a baby.

I wonder about the absorbancy tho hmmm

And (this is a biggie) what do you do with them if you need to change them and you're NOT at home? Ya gotta carry that thing around with you all day??? That would be nasty disbelief

same thing you'd do with a normal pad: carry an extra with you and wash the icky one out at the nearest sink you can find. same thing with divacups, rinse it out whenever convenient.

Cool idea. I don't use pads so I wouldn't buy them but I have been thinking about buying a sponge. Cheaper than buying tampons and better for the environment. It's a crime how much pads and tampons cost... disbelief

I agree these are a good idea, both the sponge and the pads, but I still can't get my head round washing them out in a public restroom. I hate public restrooms enough as it is...
