It's not exactly the life of the party on Sundays either. Barely any new posts and not even half a dozen threads worth skimming through on the first page. neutral

So it's morning now down under? This time zone jumping is messing with my head. nuts

Is it really so bad to have kids that you look forward to Mondays? Maybe I should reevaluate my ten-year plan a bit... confused

Oh the kids are fine, it's just that today I can go to the mall and it will be EMPTY!!! the way I prefer it. I look forwards to Mondays because my husband is back at work and there can be peace - the kids go into hyper-drive when he is at home.

Ah, so you're not working. That does make a world of difference. smile

Are the kids still too young for you to get back to work or is one source of income simply enough for your family?

pissed Oh I work believe me! (never say that you're not working to a full time mum! lol ) I put in about 15 paid hours a week but I work evenings and weekends mainly, sometimes at home and other times freelance from client's offices. The paid work is easy, it's the childcare that is hard mad . None of the kids are in school yet, but in 5 years time they'll all be in school and I could go back to work, but I might just work on my own business, it's more flexible. The income I make covers non-essentials, like holidays away etc.

True. It's been pretty slow lately, and those who are here seem a little slow too. shrug

You should make your husband help out more. The "kids in hyper-drive when dad is home" comment makes me think he's one of those dads who just has fun with the kids and every time they ask permission for something that requires a negative answer, it's "uh, go ask mom about that whydontcha?" and when it's time for diaper-changing there isn't even a fingerprint left to prove that he was ever there. But maybe I'm wrong.

the problem usually arises because I'm working and he's taking care of the kids and making our meals and doing our grocery shopping, cleaning up etc, and the kids play up with him because they don't see him all week and fight for his attention. He has a tough time - but he never complains because he doesn't know how differently they behave when they are with me.
I hit the jackpot when I married this guy, I swear lol
