Yep, Whedon and Adams doing an eight page story about the all-new, all-different X-Men's first training session, instigated by Wolverine. It takes place between pages 13 and 14 of Giant-Size X-Men #1. And isn't particularly interesting. FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

i think smith works on #4 ...which is written by Chris Claremont! No word yet as to what it'll be about or even if its set in the old or new continuity, but it IS just another eight page story, so don't expect anything particularly grabbing. FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

In the last thread I said Bucky was one of three Marvel characters that will never be resurrected. I think I've been proven wrong. Has anyone read Captain America lately?

To answer some questions:
First off, Thor and the Asgardians were killed in Ragnarok. Apparently, Ragnarok occurs every so often, causing the gods to be killed and then reborn in a new form. Currently, the gods are in a formless state, awaiting rebirth. Second, Bucky may or may not be alive. The Winter Soldier appears to be him, and is apparently based on an unused Lee/Kirby idea (since they never actually showed Bucky die). The mystery has yet to be solved. Last, both House of M and Infinite Crisis are, essentially, events that will reboot Marvel & DC's continuities. scififilmnerd said: Well, where Marvel has left me cold with the New Avengers, Young Avengers, death of Thor and so on, and I've even cancelled my Amazing Spider-Man subscription because the Sins of the Past storyline is unforgivable and I don't care about this whole new "living at New Avengers headquarters with Mary Jane and Aunt May" situation...
DC has certainly gotten me intrigued again. For a few years there, I had almost completey stopped buying DC, but now I'm buying quite a bit, what with Geoff Johns - whose work at Marvel I liked - writing Teen Titans, Kurt Busiek and Ron Garney doing a JLA arc, and Carlos Pacheco drawing first / and now Green Lantern. And their current revamping seem to be focused on making what is interesting, rather than doing away with what is, like Marvel currently seems into. Stuff like this... plus DC Special: The Return of Donna Troy and the current Crisis of Conscience story arc in JLA... Now, that's the kind of stuff that can get an old fanboy excited about reading comics again. So what do you all think Infinite Crisis will be about? And aren't you just excited about it?! On the DC stuff, we totally agree (and if you aren't reading Teen Titans, then SHAME on you!!!). All of the current mini-series, as different as they are, will tie into the Infinite Crisis. Still not sure how it all will come together, but it sure is intriguing. DC hasn't been this good in years. But I am reading Teen Titans. I'm blushing because I'm a bit embarrassed about it, but it is written by Geoff Johns, so... And it is kind of entertaining, but also a bit juvenile, I think, so it feels like a guilty pleasure, reading about a bunch of kids at my age. FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

These are the two major stars from DOn Lawrence's Storm.
Stor was an earthling lost in space, finding out he was hurled into time and finding a total different universe. He met a stunning woman, of course, and the two had loads of adventures.

Maybe I should check out the shelves at my local comics shop soon? Although, in general I tend to stay clear of comics that have scantily clad women so prominently displayed on the covers. Now, if it had been the man standing in front of the woman, covering most of her from sight, it might have piqued my interest more. [Edited 7/27/05 7:09am] FREE THE 29 MAY 1993 COME CONFIGURATION!

But think of it this way... In the old continuity, by denying her fate in Uncanny X-Men #246, Death chose Dazzler to be its handmaiden and sealed the deal in blood. Now that Claremont is handling Dazzler again, maybe he will actually use that opportunity to honor his old legacy by actually adressing this interesting turn that he didn't get to address further back then. Oh, NOTHING to be ashamed of, since it is one of the best books out there. It helps that it features the older Titans like Cyborg in mentor type roles, so there are grown ups to relate to in the book. The most recent arc with Superboy getting "activated" by Lex Luthor was sooooo good! Well, Dazzler was always a great character when Claremont was writing her. Unfortunately, I just don't think Claremont has the vision he once did. It's cool that he is able to tie up the bajillion unfinished plot threads he started way back when, but his current writing style seems like someone desperately trying to mimic the classic Claremont style.
