Lolly and I were briefly married (that didn't work out...she was a shrew), and TOFKA keeps asking me, but I don't know if she can handle me.

When I "proposed" (our getting married was kind of a given...regardless of how I truly felt), I had the ring for awhile. Since I knew she'd been wanting marriage since our third month of dating (*sigh*)...I just decided to try and make it surprising. So after an extremely hard day at work teaching--kids horrendous, parents giving her hell, other teachers, etc, etc--she came back to the apartment in a huge bad mood. Was complaining and whining and such all over the place, I didn't even talk...just let her vent for like 20 minutes straight. She couldn't even stand still, had to keep walking around.

Then, when it seemed like there was a break in her anger and venting, I walked her into the hallway (I had picked out the perfect spot to present her the ring...I wanted the light to hit the diamond just right), and said "I know you've had a rough day and you're angry...but I just wanted to ask you something...will you marry me?". I showed her the ring as I asked...and she broke down and started crying...and stopped venting...lol

Anyway, there ya go... shrug

I've proposed twice, the second was accepted. I told her that there is only one thing that I would change about her, her last name.

I couldn't say that at the time...my ex's last name was Dumm, and she would have thought I was being serious. confused

oh, the how.....

I slipped the ring on finger while she was sleeping, I had breakfast ready and gave a sincere romantic proposal in our home.

She rewarded me by losing it one night while she was out with an ex boyfriend behind my back.

Never again.
