If I bought a Mercedes, would that make me a snob??

I'm considering purchasing a 2000 Benz ML320. It's safe, the engine will run forever, and it will hold it's value.

I just don't want to come across as an uppity jerk.

What do you think?

You and the term "uppity jerk" don't even belong in the same universe, no matter what you're driving.

Those rappers drive cars that are as expensive and "uppity" as they can possibly be - and they get street cred for it. So just wear a bandana or something and you'll be alright. wink

Besides, you're right about the quality. It's a good investment.

if you're looking for a 4x4 for luxury and the "name" then your best bet is FreeLander

however if you want a 4x4 for going off road, and not just down a dirt track, the your best bet is... a Toyota Hi-Lux

You're not a snob until you go buying an S class or an AMG. M class is more utility. Nothing wrong with that.

Don't feel bad, I want an S500. You shouldn't care so much about what other people think. If you think you deserve it, YOU DO!! biggrin

It's settled.

I was going to buy one regardless, but I just wanted to see what people thought. My old man said, "What, you think you're better than everyone else?"

LOL, I get my bad disposition from him obviously.

I hope to purchase one soon, it will be nice to own a vehicle again. Thank god I have a work vehicle. The bonus is that I don't have a seperated wife to get this one repossesed. wink
