Well, if you figure it out, let me know.
Everyone tells me to exercise but my energy level is the lowest it has ever been and seems to be getting lower! My dr. did bloodwork and everything was in the normal range. He had me read a book called "Mood Cure" , I forget the aurthor. The book is about taking amino acids and things like 5HTP & SAMe for the depression. I checked it out from my library and tried a few things. It all depends on what is causing the depression. For me, I have suffered from depression & anxiety my whole life. I have been on many different meds but I hate the side effects. Right now I am trying to figure out what is causing it and trying to take supplements to correct it. I think mine has a lot to do with hormones- Being a women can suck sometimes! My doctor recommended that I do a test for Iodine. They are finding that many women are Iodine deficient and it effects your thyroid and adrenal functions. I am currently going to an alternative/conventional doctor. After the Iodine test (which is done at home, then sent to a lab- 24 hr urine collection) he is going to do a hair analysis but I have to wait until some of the hair grows out some since I color my hair. I really feel for you, I know about the funk! It sucks when you sink into it and feel like you cannot get out. I felt that way about 2 wks ago and as soon as I started my period, I eased up some. Two good books that I could recommend to you are: "Mood Cure" and "Adrenal Fatigue" , go online and check your library to see if they have these. I will org note you when I get the names of the authors. Hang in there and try to relax and breathe- I find I hold my breath when I am anxious and that does not help. If you wanna chat, please feel free to orgnote anytime.

Nan-y,
Sorry to hear about your funk mood. It's such a bummer when funk is not used in a good way. I haven't been around much myself. Between family and school I have not been able to come here and de-stress like I use to. I don't have any advice for you. I'm fighting a funk myself (my grandmother passed away on the 22nd of June and when my father was on his way to her funeral he rolled his jeep. Thank GOD he, my step mom and their new 9 week old puppy are okay, but talk about funk!), but you have gotten lots of good advice so far. All I can do is give you another big ![]() I'm firmly planted in denial

yes, easy for his rich ass male hormone self to say. As soon as this man gets all of the female hormones and equipment, I will start to take depression advice from him. Who made him an expert anyways!!
