highfive It's a pity the man hasn't aged well. Too much smoking and partying I assume. He's 37 now, and all wrinkly. I've been to his concerts three times, much fun. Their first "Hoezo Clouseau" is still the greatest in my opinion.

Have you read my thread about the Gentse Feesten?

Clouseau is perfoming as well... wink

They do?
Cool..I'll see what I can do to be there! I saw them perform too before wink
Have 3 cd's..Don't play them much anymore though...growing out of it I guess lol

Must say that Chris looks good too these days nod

That guy has aged well. I guess it's fair, he was always the 'ugly mf' compared to his brother, if you know what I mean.

Please check it out, the Gentse Feesten. You live close to the border, so distance is no excuse girlie !!

Can't you take him with you? If he's tired, he can always sleep in my bed, which is close to the centre...

Only prob is me having to work from 7 till 12, that's why it would be great if we could meet up with a number of people...

Oh, and of course Jennifer Connelly in Labyrinth. Even though, oddly enough, I was absolutely fucking terrified of David Bowie in that movie.

At age 10 I was beyond in love with Tony DeFranco of Tony DeFranco and the DeFranco Family. They were overshadowed by the JACKSONS and the OSMONDS.

Oh god I love her. My favourite of Lindgren was 'Kinderen van Bolderburen' though. Retina, help me, what's the name in Swedish? 'Barn...'

Alla vi barn i Bullerbyn. It's good, I agree. nod

Pippi Långstrump seems to have connected with all kinds of cultures. She's a strong female role model, I think that's what has struck a chord.

Personally, I was blown away by the Ripley character from the movie Aliens. She was an extremely strong woman who was also in touch with her emotions. I never found it strange that she was a female lead in an action movie. To me, she was simply a hero.

'Alla vi barn i Bullerbyn' mushy It sounds so sweet. This must have been the only book I've read three times. I read it under the blankets, when I was seven years or something. It made me wanna move to Sweden. Playing in the hay, eating cookies with grandmother, sending messages from one house to another...

Olle, that's a name I remember. I think there was Lars too.

Another book I loved by Lindgren was (in Dutch) 'Madieke van het rode huis'. About a girl who thought she could fly and jumped off the roof.

I cried at least two tears when I heard Astrid died.

When I was about 10 or so I saw the movie "Love at First Bite" starring George Hamilton.

I thought George was so handsome and I guess I had a thing for his cape and tuxedo because I developed the BIGGEST crush on him. lol

I wrote him a fan letter and got an autgraphed (a stamped autograph, that is mad ) picture in return, and the stamp was all smeared across the bottom of the photo. I put it in a frame anyway and hung it up next to my bed.

When I first saw the video for Human Behaviour.....I knew I'd be a fan for life, but I wasn't musically as much of a fan I was then the way I am now. How could a kid not like her videos....they were eye candy. At that age, I wasn't attracted to anyone in a mushy or sexual way, Bjork just became sorta an idol, I guess.

This story reminds me of my personal encounter with Koen. (See first pic in this thread) When I was 19 or something, I came home to study for my exams in June. When I heard Clouseau was playing at the local market on a lost Saturday-afternoon, I grabbed my hometown-buddy by his arm and together we went to the concert. The love was still there. lol

After the concert I climbed over different obstacles to come closer to my childhood-hero and asked him to give me his autograph. I wanted to give him a paper but he grabbed my arm, looked into my eyes and said :

batting eyes "Tell me where I have to stop."

He wrote his name all over my arm, from my hand till right under my armpit where my boob begins.

I nearly fainted. The bastard.
