What's your favourite Wine?

I thought this might go well with the cheese thread.

Perhaps a crackers thread is in order, too?

For me it's definitely in the following order:

1) Pinot Noir
2) Cabernet Sauvignon
3) Merlot
4) Rose (as in "Rosay" - I don't have that elipsis or whatever it's called on my keyboard).

Okay so what kind of cheese would go well with these wines?

And crackers? I like pepper ones personally.

Wine experts?

What goes well with these wines?

Anyone?

My all time favorite is Silver Lake's

ROZA RIESLING

The Roza Hills Vineyard produces Riesling fruit that is full bodied and loaded with peach, melon and apricot flavors. This wine has great floral qualities in the nose and is delightfully balanced between the sweet Riesling fruit and the bracing acidity. Excellent as an aperitif or with lightly sweetened dessert, this wine is the very definition of the perfect picnic wine.

I kinda liked the last stable version. I think that was called 1.4.22 or something.

1: Rosé (but only in the summer. In winter it would be a South African Merlot, red)
2: Cabernet Sauvignon
3: Shiraz

Chateau Neuf du Pape is a great wine as well though. Great.
Cheers!

I'll answer according to my budget, this means the wine I do buy, and not the wine I only dream about or drink with some adults around:

The Spanish wine they sell in the Aldi (cheap supermarket). It's dark and has a strong sweet flavour, no headaches afterwards.

I don't remember the name though.

i used to really be a red wine fan....but these days im LOVING white wine.
pinot grigio is usually what i go for...sometimes a saviaughn blanc is nice too.
reislings can be good for a glass....but if im going to get tipsy...id prefer a pinot...the reislings are just too sweet.
