Women's health ? re: Iodine test this questionis for the ladies:
Have any of you ladies had your Iodine levels checked? Is so, what was the result and if you were deficient, what did your dr do to correct it? I ask because my dr has been trying to help me figure out what is causing my fatigue, depression, allergy problems and my lack of sex drive... He did a blood test for thyroid, sugar, cholesterol... Everything was normal. I have arrythmias and low blood pressure so he is thinking maybe a lack of Iodine is causing my problems. He gave me a kit to take home and do a 24 hr unrine collection. I then send my urine in to be tested and go from there. He says that a lack of Iodine is common in women. I do not eat seafood or many other foods that contain Iodine. He told me to consume more salt and less sugar. Just thought I would check with the ladies here to see if anyone had the same problem. Thanks!

Sorry can't help you, since my health issues were opposite from yours. A while back I had a high salt level and blood pressure, and had to be put on Diovan and then Spironolactone. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

I haven't had an iodine check - I hadn't even heard of it before this thread. But I do hope they manage to diagnose and treat you soon.
Best of luck x | |
