OOhhhh, I used to drink large amounts of my version of sex on the beach, and it included that, it made me feel HORRIBLE, and I could figure out what it was until I stopped drinking it.

It killed my stomach, but oohh did they taste good

So then there's hope! They were soooo yummy but man, it made me sick!

yea give it a couple days then try drinking something else, see if that makes you sick ,

Hopefully thats all it was

hehehe! time to switch to beer...go home early and call it a night sister! lol

That's what I normally do! I wanted to change it up, but apparently am suffering from it!

I hardly ever drink anymore, maybe that's the problem. I need to re-build my tolerance!

WELCOME TO THE CLUB, kid!

ah yes..
I can remember.. 11-12 years ago (in my early 20s)..
when I would go out,
GET DRUNK OFF MY ASS
& still go to work the next day.. DRUNK, yes.. but still able to "work"
(mostly)..

but in the last 2 years.. there have been
MAYBE
3 times when I've gotten totally drunk off my ass
& this is indeed directly related to the fact that it's
HARDER
to recover from a night of "drunken debauchery"
& it TAKES LONGER to do so..
so I'm like..
I like to occasionally drink a GOOD AMOUNT of alcohol..
I like "the act of getting drunk"..
but I am digging MUCH LESS the whole "morning after hangover" thing..
& that "morning after hangover" thing is a SUFFICIENT deterrent from me
drinking all the way up to my (high tolerance) limit.

yeah, I still drink about as much (red) wine as I want,
but that's really only with dinner & typically 2 glasses at the most.

I've never really had any type of "hangover cure",
other than to drink A LOT OF WATER/GATORADE
& that 1st FULL MEAL after getting FUCKED UP the night before..
that helps a lot, too..

alas,
my days of getting REALLY DRUNK OFF MY ASS are..

sigh..

apparently a thing of my past..

but that's cool- because when I look back on what I did
& how I did (& often, with whom I did)
I can honestly say "I got my money's worth" in terms of the "drunk off my ass" phenomenon..!
biggrin

damn.
all this talk about booze has now gotten me a hankerin' for a nice, tall, cold

LONG
ISLAND
ICED
TEA..
I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..

I hear ya girl.

MPLS Pride was last weekend, and in my 'old age' I have cut this down from a 1 week binge to 2 days/nites of partying. Well, the fun stopped Sunday nite. I slept ALL DAY Monday. Still felt brain dead yesterday. And today am ALMOST back to normal. disbelief I can't believe what's happened since I turned 30!

I'm right there with ya. In my early 20's I would go out at least 3 nights a week, sometimes be out till 5 am and get up at 8 and still be ok at work. This has slowly dwindled over the years to no going out on weeknights and maybe going out once a month or so on weekends and being dead to the world the next day. sigh

The are several factors at play here my dear Carrie.

Number 1: If you havn't been drinking much lately you do lose your tolerance for alcohol. This is a fact, although it doesnt sound like you had very much to drink at all.

Number 2: Sometimes we just have a bad day on the drink for whatever unexplainable reason. Every now and then you can have a day where you just get drunk really quick (it could be you are unwell, dehydrated, nervous, not eaten well etc).

Number 3: You are getting that little bit older. I find that I can still drink about the same amount as I used to but the after effects are way, way worse. I got so drunk on Saturday over 14 hours of drinking with my mates (beer, red wine, vodka etc) that I was pretty messy. It took me until yesterday to feel good again. I've promised myself not to do that again but i know I'm weak and probably will.

Hangovers! mad
When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one in this situation! Thanks for all your responses.

I think that the problem is the flavored vodkas. I always had a problem with raspberry stoli and I think it's the same with this peach absolut. I actually don't even care to drink that much anymore, but once in a while I like to let loose and if I can't have 3 drinks and a couple beers over a period of 5 hours then something is wrong!!!

I'll stick with just beer or kettle 1...that shit's the bomb!!!

PS: It's almost 11:30 pm and I still have a fkn headache sad
