Damn. I used to work very close to Yorkshire TV's studios in Leeds. Despite accidentally bumping into him once and spilling his tea, then being given the obligatory "Do you know who i am?" line (I apologised and said "Yep, You're Richard Whiteley!")
We then had a quick five minutes chat about Countdown and getting bitten by ferrets (as he did on live TV). I also let him know one of my co-workers sons friends had stolen his car a few days earlier. Nice fella, couldn't get him to score me a date from Carol though!

Have to say, the 'Gotcha' moment was priceless, and one of the funniest moments i've had the pleasure of watching on TV - EVER.
