The National Organization of Restoring Men is a non-profit support group for men who have concerns about being circumcised, are considering foreskin restoration, or are in the process of restoring their foreskins. Our aim is to help men regain a sense of self-directedness -- physically as well as emotionally.

NORM is dedicated to providing an arena in which circumcised men can share their concerns without fear of being ridiculed for a desire to be intact and whole again. A safe place is provided to discuss goals and learn about methods and techniques of restoration and to discover those methods that will work best for each individual.

Now in its fifteenth year of operation, NORM continues to freely provide information and support to restoring men everywhere.

Why Restore? Too many American men who were circumcised in infancy and grew up in a society where circumcision is considered normal, it is a natural question to ask, "Why on earth would someone want to restore their foreskin?" Men, and women, too, have been conditioned to the myth that the foreskin is a dirty, useless flap of skin and that its removal is 100% beneficial and there is no loss from it's removal.

What we now know is that the foreskin represents approximately 15 square inches of sensitive tissue that also protects the glans or head of the penis. Its removal represents a significant loss that is difficult for one who has never had a foreskin to comprehend.

In addition to the losses that removal of the foreskin causes, circumcision frequently causes physical damage. Unsuspecting men, parents and even doctors are not aware of this, as these problems may not manifest themselves until the boy starts to have erections and becomes sexually active.

Examples of problems caused by circumcision include removal of too much shaft skin causing painful erections, adhesions, skin bridges, loss of the entire penis and even death.

Some men are satisfied with their circumcised state, and other men, like someone blind from birth, simply do not know what they are missing. Others having learned about restoration are beginning to experience the benefits at each stage of their restoration. Reasons given by men for restoring include a desire to regain a fully functional penis, to regain movable shaft skin, to regain sensitivity to the glans by restoring its natural protective covering, for aesthetic appearance reasons, and even to look like their intact sons.

After you have studied the information available about the benefits and procedures of foreskin restoration, I hope you will return to this site and look again at the R2K family of products and consider them as devices to use in your restoration project.

Please, consider this final thought. Each of us has met or heard of a woman who has had a face lift, tummy tuck or breast augmentation. We tell the woman how great she looks and we say to others how good she looks. When we hear of a man who wants to restore his foreskin, we hear giggles and words of astonishment and ridicule. Why is it acceptable for a woman to restore or alter portions of her body for the sake of outward appearance, but not acceptable for a man to restore a portion of his body to regain its natural function?

I opted not to have my son circumcised when he was born. It just seems so ridiculous to subject a child to this totally unnecessary procedure. And it's his body. He can have his foreskin removed later if HE chooses.

I opted not to have my sons cut and then my oldest had a problem with his foreskin and had to get cut anyway.

I find circumcision for anything other than medical reasons cruel because it's unnecessary. Medical reasons, meaning when complications actually occur and not preventive. I think religious reasons are actually more valid than the whole hygiene crap because that's a flat out lie. It's not based on facts as some people make it out to be. Water, soap and wiping your dick after peeing go a long way in keeping it clean. Anyway, that's not what this thread is about.

I have 3 boys, intact, complete and entire actually make that 4

They don't circumcise here in this country any more unless you absolutely insist and then they try really hard to talk you out of it first.

I have never touched a penis that is unsnipped.

I kind of miss my foreskin. I had to have it done though. No major problems but I had some hygene issues. It was a lot more sensitive back then, almost to the point of pain. That I don't miss.
