Munchen had an amazing group of beers. ( Americans and Brits refer to this place as Munich...but the locals are Deutsch ...not German.. and live in Munchen not Munich.)

The monks at the retreat are really feeling my humour. I do a hilarious mime of the I Ching. I find it entirely ironic that I most entirely indentify with British folk..... I suppose my love for Eddie Izzard should have been a clue!

About the degree thing, I think anyone who has a degree, a post grad, a masters or doctorate should be commended for their hard work. For a start it requires more effort and dedication than not getting them! I don't have a degree and I think people who don't certainly shouldn't put themselves down for not having one. However, it's easy to say that you don't need a degree to be smart, but the work that people put in shouldn't just be brushed aside. Having said that though, whether someone has completed higher education or not is not really a particularly accurate indication of someone's intelligence. I would've finished my masters by now (easy to say!) if I'd studied, and of course I have a few regrets, but my situation just didn't allow for it. There's still time, of course, but as I've never stopped learning about the subjects I would've studied it'd be like spending several years 'learning' something I largely already know just to get a piece of paper!!! If I study I'll do different subjects. Otherwise there's no motivation that stems from learning. The piece of paper is just that. If you haven't learnt anything it's pointless IMHO.
Hmmm... bit of a digression from beer. Never mind.

Sir Izzard is indeed! What a gifted export... To the other end I suppose there indeed is a vast amount of distance between the two....but that is a matter of foolish history.... That whole 1776 thing was over rated! [Edited 6/24/05 0:04am]
